The State of West Virginia has been blessed to have a wonderful Senator in Robert Byrd. Senator Byrd has proved his love of his State as well as his country. During the initial quest by Dictator Bush, our fine Senator not only opposed the reasoning of the war, but penned a book outlining why he felt this way. During this time his position was debated severely. At this time in hindsight, people have realized that Senator Byrd was correct in his knowledge of the Constitution. He realized that this regiem is stripping the public of their freedoms on a daily basis without shame.
People call Senator Byrd a "pork barrel" Senator. I remember a time 30 years ago that there was no dependable infrastructure in West Virginia. Due to his assistance and funds sent to our beautiful state, we have a massive tourism industry that is booming and dependable for our State's economy.
