Joe Scarborough

Joe Scarborough Equates Bill Moyers With Glenn Beck

On September 20, Joe Scarborough went on a Twitter rampage against Bill Moyers. (All of these tweets were written by Scarborough, some addressed directly to @individuals).

Sun 6pm

I just saw the one of the most unintentionally funny interviews in the history of mankind!! Bill Moyers interviewing the NYTs Sam Tannehaus.

Moyers--who frantically predicted the rise of a theocratic state over the past 8 years--suddenly concerned about GOP's apocalyptic thinking.

The Frantic Bill Moyers: "For the first time in our history, ideology and theology hold a monopoly of power in Washington."

Ed Schultz KO's Joe Scarborough

It was a rare pleasure to wake up to Ed Schultz ripping Joe Scarborough to shreds. Ed was particularly good on the faux-controversy over Speaker Pelosi, demanding the name of a single House Democrat who thinks Pelosi should be replaced as Speaker. Of course Joe couldn't name a single one because (1) House Democrats credit Pelosi with putting Democrats in the majority, and (2) because they believe her when she says the CIA lied to her.

Joe (and Mika) continue to be shocked! shocked! that anyone could accuse the CIA of lying. Hey JoeMika - over 4,600 of our bravest sons and daughters are dead and 20 times that number are maimed because the CIA lied!

Joe Scarborough Health Care Plan: Socialism and Murder

Joe Scarborough gets countless hours each day to trash President Obama's plans to solve our massive problems. His current line of attack is that Obama's failure to do exactly what Scarborough wants is a failure of "leadership."

Of course Scarborough is no "leader" and never offers his alternative plans. Why? Because he's a coward like every other Republican whose only response to any Democratic plan is N-O.

But thanks to Twitter, we can now sketch out the core elements of Joe Scarborough's Health Care Plan:

3/6/09 5:11 pm: Medical costs are exploding. We will have to do things Republicans and Democrats hate. Means testing, rationing, etc.

NBC Lies About Small Business Taxes

On MSNBC's Morning Joe, CNBC's Maria Bartiromo lied about tax increases for small business, and MediaMatters busted her:

small businesses, you know, are putting $250,000 in revenue out there, and they're going to get impacted -- and this is the single largest creator of jobs.

So Bartiromo says small business taxes will be raised if the business grosses over $250,000 in revenue. But that's a lie.

First, a small business that is not a personal business is taxed at corporate tax rates, which will not change under Obama's plan.

Second, a small business that is a personal business will only see higher taxes on the profit (i.e. personal income) that exceeds $250,000, not the gross revenue.

How I Beat Joe Scarborough in Two Tweets

Joe Scarborough tweets as JoeNBC. I caught him tweeting Supply Side nonsense and called him on it. It took me just 2 tweets to crush him in debate.

Schmoozer7437 (@JoeNBC) wondering why we are not discussing that raising taxes on the people who are still spending money will hurt the economy even more

joenbc: (@Schmoozer7437) That is a great point. You are taking money out of the pockets of the few people who can still spend it.

bobfertik: The rich spend far less of their income than the poor. Do you know any real economics or just Supply Side nonsense?
