a little reading before and after June 25 torture accountability rallies
A little reading before the rally in Wash DC 11am John Marshall Park 501 PA ave, NW (next to Canada Embassy). Tabling beginning at 9am continuing after 12pm. March to Justice Dept 12 noon.
I first heard Repub talking points against transferring GuantanamoJTF camp x-ray terror suspects to USA prisons in a May 9, 2009 weekly radio response to one of Pres Obama's weekly radio addresses. c-span.org does archive weekly Pres addresses and opposing party responses. Can also watch at youtube.com/watch?v=pqtDIEH_Jpo .

Help Wanted 2012
Wanted: Presidential candidate for 2012 who will implement the promises made by Barack Obama in regard to civil rights for the GLBT community, who will actively support the prosecution of those in past or present administrations who have committed criminal acts, who will demonstrate a commitment to single payer health care, who will cease billion dollar bailouts for those who have cheated and robbed average Americans for years, who will cease supporting and expanding "faith based initiatives" with taxpayer monies.
Democrats need to start looking for a presidential candidate who truly reflects the ideals of progressive democrats. Obama is not that person. Day by day it becomes more clear that Obama's administration is merely a continuation of the George W. Bush administration.
single payer health care
our opponents to single payer and HR 676 and why...................money talks.
if single payer ever becomes a reality, it will done at the grass roots level in the states and not nationally.
thank you for this opportunity,
John

White House Accomplishments
I would like to see a list of the accomplishments of the White House. Their website identiifes some but not in an easy to copy and paste format.
The reason I want this is to rebut neocons and others on forums elsewhere. I am a member of Classmates. Some try to portray him as creating all kinds of havoc. Many are "inspired" by Rush Limbaugh and the "pundits" at Fox News.
If someone knows of a link to a page where this is already happening, please let me know.

Boy, if anybody ever realy F;;;:dup you people did. OBAMA is trying to take the USA down and you guys think its going to be good for you. YOU ARE ALL FOOLS.
The Republicans Today...
The Republicans talk out of both sides of their mouths. Today, they want the stimulus money. Yesterday, they voted against it, except for three.
They don't like President Obama's plan to help the people in trouble with foreclosures. I know they don't need help fot their homes. What about their constuents?
They should be ashamed of themselves.
Did you see the hilarious video with Dan Akroyd (SNL) as the head Republican? They did a good job making Republicans look stupid. And they are!

Polls & Americans' Priorities
There are many polls being bandied about which purport to show the most urgent concerns of the American People. Polls, like statistics, can be (and often are) used to either bolster a position, or to tear it down. These “focused” polls ask what are termed “closed-ended” questions: On this particular issue do you prefer choice A, or choice B?
A recent CBS/New York Times poll, asked “open-ended” questions about what Americans feel are the most important issues and problems facing our nation today i.e., “right now.” The results are neither shocking, nor unexpected, and point out that the economy, creating jobs, and the war in Iraq are the top concerns, with everything else polling in single digits (except the undefined “other,” which are the combined, more narrowly focused, issues that accounted for less than 2% each).

Barack Obama Art
There has been a great deal of commericalization of the Obama presidency. Most are of the standard variety - t-shirts, posters, etc. I'm looking for unique artwork and design supporting President Obama. Any suggestions?
Interested in other sightings and suggestions!
