Cherry Hill – Writer, lecturer, and media critic, Jeff Cohen, appears briefly in “War Made Easy” and as a TV pundit, he had been a rare dissenting voice in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq. As featured speaker for the showing of “War Made Easy” to be held on August 24 From 7:00 – 10:00 PM,at the Cherry Hill Unitarian Universalist Church – 401 Kings Hwy. N, Cohen will address the key points of the movie as presented by another famous medic critic, Norman Solomon, whose research and tough-minded analysis documents patterns of political and media deception for war – from Vietnam to Iraq.

"War Made Easy" reaches into the Orwellian memory hole to expose a 50-year pattern of government deception and media spin that has dragged the United States into one war after another from Vietnam to Iraq. Narrated by actor and activist Sean Penn, the film exhumes remarkable archival footage of official distortion and exaggeration from LBJ to George W. Bush, revealing in stunning detail how the American news media have uncritically disseminated the pro-war messages of successive presidential administrations. "War Made Easy" gives special attention to parallels between the Vietnam war and the war in Iraq.
