Obamanologues (pronounced Obama-nalogues), written and directed by R.M. Peete, is a theatrical play developed in early 2009. The play's title is the intersection of the two words: Obama and monologues. The writer (who is also an actor) developed the play's concept after completing an initial monologue (entitled, "First Day"). After attending the 2009 Presidential Inauguration, he was inspired to create the monologue, which he planned to use at future acting auditions.

Eventually, he thought to himself, "why not create additional monologues about Barack Obama's journey to the White House?" So he did. Writing the monologues from different perspectives allowed him an opportunity to fully explore this one-of-a-kind historical event. Obamanologues reflects the same diversity of stories and opinions that surrounded Barack Obama's campaign for the Presidency.

There are eleven monologues and they each occur on a particular day/night during the period of November 17, 2006 - April 29, 2009. Each monologue is represented by a different character (i.e., actor) and depicts an individual perspective related to an individual time frame. The characters are as diverse as the public affected by Barack Obama's political campaign.

With stories ranging from rebellious to spiritual to scholarly to controversial, Obamanologues depicts emotions and behaviors displayed by people in living rooms, classrooms, bus stops, and water coolers across this nation.

The Library is on Library Lane, right off Tinker Street. If you come in on Route 375, take it to the end and make a left turn, you'll be in Town, stay on that road it becomes Tinker Street. The Library (Library Lane) is on the right just at the end of the shopping district, and just past the hardware store, also on the right. You can't miss it, set back on a large lawn you'll see a very nice, white old fashioned library-looking building. If you do miss it, ask anyone on the street and they'll direct you.
