Sources within the council inform us that we're one vote shy of having the 7 vote majority vote we need. So, we're calling on citizens to do three things: * Call your Council Member Attend the Minneapolis City Council Meetings with impeachment signs and shirts to show support. According to sources on the Minneapolis City Council, they will be taking up impeachment in the next few months. The idea is to be a visual advertisement of the call on them to impeach! |

Nationwide: White Rose Coalition's National Day of Impeachment VisibilityCindy Sheehan Joins Activists Planning Impeachment/Pro-Peace Protest at New Year's Rose Parade Local and national pro-Impeachment and pro-Peace American citizens will stage non-violent protests and demonstrations throughout the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, on Tuesday, 01/01/08, New Year's Day, with support from Cindy Sheehan and the Camp Casey Peace Institute. The convergence of activists is called the White Rose Coalition, in honor of the resistance movement in Munich in 1942. It includes members of the Los Angeles National Impeachment Center (LANIC), CODEPINK, Troops Out Now Coalition, World Can't Wait, ANSWER, Progressive Democrats of America, the Green Party, Veterans for Peace, United for Peace and Justice, and others. The groups are calling for impeaching George W. Bush and Dick Cheney for high crimes and misdemeanors, and to end U.S. occupation of Iraq. |

NJ, Wayne: Holiday Impeachment Party!New Jersey Impeach Groups Invite All to Holiday Impeach Party December 10th in Wayne! "This is a party to say a big THANK YOU to the hundreds of people in our state who are expressing real patriotism by standing up for our constitution and demanding that the criminal actions of the Bush administration be held to account in our country's courts and in our congress," said Stuart Hutchison, organizer for New Jersey Impeach Groups in Wayne. New Jersey Impeach Groups has the expressed support of between 800-1000 people. Our groups consist of 3 chapters divided into north, central, and south regional groups. Our North Jersey Impeach Group has 535 members, and 83 people joined in just the last two weeks. "This is a time for us to celebrate," said educator Joan Palmino, also from Wayne. "People are finally fed up with Bush and Cheney, and want to restore justice and reclaim democracy in our country. |
