Whistleblower's Story: US Intelligence, 911 & Iraq by Colleen RowleyColeen Rowley, former FBI whistle-blower who was named one of Time Magazine's "Persons of the Year" in 2004, will be speaking in a free special event in Santa Barbara on Sunday, April 22, at 3 pm, at Victoria Hall. An announcement with Coleen's photo is attached to print out and share with friends. Coleen's speech is sponsored by the UCSB Capps Center. As some of you know, Coleen's famous memo to FBI Director Robert Mueller critiqued FBI and other law enforcement actions leading up to 9-11, and she testified to Congress on this subject in a dramatic hearing. She was lauded for her "bark off" frankness speaking truth to power and forced rigorous self-examination by the FBI and other services. |
