Please join the Washington Peace Center, CodePINK DC, and the pro-peace and justice community for our 3rd Impeach For Peace Picnic on this Sunday, 7/27/2008 from 2 - 5 PM at the Grassy Knoll by the Washington Monument, on the National Mall between 14th and 15th Streets.

take place Monday evening July 28th in Madison. It starts at 7 PM in
the auditorium (Rm. B130) in Van Vleck Hall on Bascom Hill on the UW
Madison campus with coffee and treats at 6:15 PM.

Directions: Park in Helen C. White Library parking ramp, Park St.,
near the Memorial Union, walk up hill to Bascom Hall & Van Vleck is to
the left - a tall slender building.

Meeting organizer Buzz Davis, Veterans for Peace member, explained,
"We have two excellent thinkers on national politics and impeachment.
Dr. Robert Bowman, Ph.D. in aeronautics, Lt Col, US Air Force retired
and John Nichols, author and columnist. Co-organizer and UW-Madison
Professor Joe Elder will serve as moderator. These experts will speak
and then the meeting is open for discussion."

Redeclaring Our Independence

USAF LT. Col. (Ret.) Dr. Robert Bowman, Star Wars Missile Defense Shield Director under three presidents will be the keynote speaker at redeclaring Our Independence, a July 4th picnic at Laurie Dobson's farm, 78 Old Cape Rd. in Kennebunkport, Maine. Dr. Bowman will speak out for Bush-Cheney Impeachment and Indictment for war crimes.

Other speakers include Atty. Harold Burbank II, drafter of the legal ordinance for Bush's Indictment in Kennebunkport for war crimes, (which will be on the ballot in November once the signatures are collected), Kurt Daims, organizer of the Brattleboro Indictment Resolution which passed last year, and Laurie Dobson with updates on her Senate Campaign and on the Bush Indictment Resolution in Kennebunkport.

LAW SCHOOL TO ORGANIZE BUSH WAR CRIMES TRIAL

A conference to plan the prosecution of President Bush and other high administration officials for war crimes will be held September 13-14 at the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover.

"This is not intended to be a mere discussion of violations of law that have occurred," said convener Lawrence Velvel, dean and co-founder of the school. "It is, rather, intended to be a planning conference at which plans will be laid and necessary organizational structures set up, to pursue the guilty as long as necessary and, if need be, to the ends of the Earth."

"We must try to hold Bush administration leaders accountable in courts of justice," Velvel said. "And we must insist on appropriate punishments, including, if guilt is found, the hangings visited upon top German and Japanese war-criminals in the 1940s."
