Impeachment of Bush & Cheney/Rep. Dennis Kucinich

To Democrats.com;  Although I was PLEASED! to hear that Dennis Kucinich, read these 35 articles of Impeachment ON the House of Representatives Floor, I UNFORTUNATELY, have the following PROBLEM,...It is; Dennis Kucinich, is looked upon by a LOT of Democrats, and ALL Republicans,as a "NUT!!" and a "Troublemaker"!!  If,...I repeat IF!, YOU,Democrats.com,..want your "Impeachment" message to be taken >SERIOUSLY!!< I advise the following;   GET ANOTHER CONGRESSMAN or SENATOR to DELIVER YOUR(Democtrats.com & the American People's)  MESSAGE,...O.K.??!!

House Sends Impeachment to John Conyers

By a bipartisan vote of 251-166, the full House of Representatives sent Dennis Kucinich's 35 Articles of Impeachment to the Judiciary Committee.

That means Chairman John Conyers now has the power to decide whether to hold impeachment hearings - or not.

Incredibly, 24 Republicans voted with 227 Democrats; the 166 no votes came exclusively from Republicans.

Impeachment

I stayed up with Rep Kucinich for his entire reading into the record. I am so delighted to see that we have such quality of courage in the Congress. He's taken a giant step to restore its credibility.

But, I admit to being totally unknowledgable regarding the process of impeachment at this point. I know it begins in the House of Representatives and tried in the Senate, but where to we go from here with his presentment? I will feel more empowered if we can get the details or appropriate links to get this information.

Now, in light of the Democrat's surge to the finish line to sweep the board, it will be interesting to see just who among our Congressmen and women will step up to the plate and give their support. It is high time for them to show their true colors and the quality of their mettle.

Media Coverage of Kucinich Articles of Impeachment

At the Huffington Post, Joseph Palermo cheers:

Kucinich's lengthy and detailed indictment of this wayward president is the most thorough and powerful case made to date. He outlined a litany of high crimes and misdemeanors and showed without a shadow of a doubt that George W. Bush deserves to be impeached and removed from office. Kucinich made clear that Bush has violated his oath of office and his Constitutional duty that the laws be "faithfully executed."...

The House Judiciary Committee should vote on the Kucinich resolution and split it up into Articles of Impeachment. All the committee needs is one Article to impeach Bush, Kucinich has provided dozens of potential Articles...

CNN Follows NBC in Uninviting Kucinich

By David Swanson

I just spoke to Dennis Kucinich who told me he had been included in the upcoming CNN debate but has been uninvited. After a poll placed Kucinich at 4%, CNN quickly announced the criterion of 5% for participation in its next debate in South Carolina. The Kucinich campaign released this statement:

CNN sets debate criteria 1% above Kucinich’s latest poll results, campaign files complaint with Federal Communications Commission

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Kucinich for President campaign filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission yesterday against CNN and its parent company, Time Warner, Inc., for arbitrarily establishing criteria for its scheduled Monday Presidential debate that will exclude the Democratic candidate from participation.

Congressman Nadler on Impeacment or My Search for the Fountain of Youth

Dispatch from New York City - 4:00P EST

This is a recording of a quote from Congressman Nadler made at the NOW meeting Sunday Jan 13, 2008 in the Gramercy Park National Arts Club. Unfortunately his words are rhetoric, nothing more, just meant to terrify us into voting for the Democratic Party in November.

NH Vote Recount Pursued and Kucinich is excluded from NBC debates

Dennis Kucinich, who has been locked out of the NBC presidential debates, is pushing for a New Hampshire Vote Recount.

As The Associated Press reports on the recount:

In a letter dated Thursday, Kucinich said he does not expect significant changes in his vote total, but wants assurance that "100 percent of the voters had 100 percent of their votes counted."

Kucinich alluded to online reports alleging disparities around the state between hand-counted ballots, which tended to favor Sen. Barack Obama, and machine-counted ones that tended to favor Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. He also noted the difference between pre-election polls, which indicated Obama would win, and Clinton's triumph by a 39 percent to 37 percent margin.

Kucinich throws support to Obama

Dennis Kucinich has asked his supporters to recast their votes in the Iowa caucus' if he does not hit the 15% threshold.  This is yet another developement that supports the consistant underlying polling data that suggests as the candidate field is winnowed out Barack Obama's strength will grow in a head to head contest against Hillary Clinton.
