"The Stand" is about teenagers protesting the war in Iraq by walking out of school. A cast of spirited and conscious teens fed up with the frivolity of Grease, Hair Spray & High School Musical make the case: our Department of Defense feeds on the ignorance and passivity of “the people” twelve years socialized by the Department of compulsory mis-Education.

All peace-related groups are welcome and encouraged to table at any and all performances.

I've voted for Wu for years. Now I'm voting for a TRUE PROGRESSIVE.

Like most, I've voted for David Wu because he is the Democrat from my District.  Sheepishly, I presumed because he comes from a Progressive District, he too would be progressive.   Not so!

Like Nancy Pelosi, Impeachment is not "On the table" for David Wu.  Nor are hearings on accountability, upholding our constitution and many others.

David Wu has already signed on to Conyer's HR 635, Bill of Impeachment. However, Conyers has backtracked and sold out! We need to organize to encourage David Wu to introduce a new bill or back a new bill introduced by someone else.

PS There will be a human chain type protest at Portland Peace Park on January 1, noon to 2PM. That will be near the Southeast corner of Steel Bridge, where Glisan Street crosses the river. We will be flying our new 8 foot helium advertisng balloon with 1.5 foot letters proclaiming "IMPEACH BUSH & CHENEY."
