Campaigning at the Californai Democratic Convention 2008

The Pat Meagher for Congress campaign is at the California Democratic Convention in force. We are ready to win this election, the old fashioned way ... honesty, issues, and hand shaking. Exciting news, our webmistress, Kat, will be blogging for the Sun during the convention with her impressions as a first time voter. This is my first time at the Convention, and I am excited.

MLK Walk and Activities

Fellow lovers of Peace,

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Monday we have the opportunity to show the Inland Empire that People of Peace are alive and well. We can show that we are alive and well and swelling in number by coming out for the Martin Luther King, Jr. walk and celebration. Too many shopkeepers, who oppose the current administration, are silent because they are afraid of losing customers. Too many employees will are silent because they are afraid of retribution. Too many people are silent because they are afraid of being social outcasts. WHY, because they feel they are in the minority. Statically, they are the majority. Let’s prove it. Come, and walk. Or cheer from the sidelines with your signs. Participate in activities at the park. Fear is what this administration wants. There is strength in numbers. This time being a statistic is good. Show the Inland Empire that WE ARE HERE IN MASS AND WE WANT PEACE.

Citizens Action 4 Peace, CODEPINK, Redlands Democratic Club, and Pat Meagher for Congress are all walking for Peace. Come join us.

2nd annual, Redlands, Martin Luther King Memorial ParadeMonday Jan 21, 20089:30am- March to the bowl- Food and entertainment 10am-2pm Meet at Redland HS, Central & Citrus

Please let me know if you can make it.

If you cannot join us, please celebrate Peace somewhere.

Wishing and praying for Peace and Justice,

Corla

Who is Pat Meagher?

Dear I’d like to bring to your attention Pat Meagher (D), Candidate for U.S. Congress in California’s 41st Congressional District. This district has been held for 28 years by Jerry Lewis (R). We must remember whomever we elect as President must work with CongressHe is a candidate with substance. He speaks of the war as a Military father of two, NCLB as an educator for 33 years, healthcare as a father of several adopted kids with special needs, and as a Democrat ready to take on the Republican machine from the experience of a being raised by generations of Republicans in a Republican state. Additionally, he stands vigil with Citizen’s Action for Peace weekly, and attends Peace vigils around the county. He met Col. Ann Wright at Arlington West Santa Monica, which resulted in her coming to Redlands three days later to share the podium with him as he announced his candidacy. Please, seriously look at this candidate as someone to support at any of the following sites.patmeagherforcongress.comcongresspedia.comsourcewatch.orgcampaignmoney.com Contact me to help elect Pat Meagher to Congress. Honest representation is what we want. No more waiting! Peace, Corla ColesPat Meagher for Congress P.S. After you are as excited as I am to elect Pat, contact me by leaving a message at patmeagherforcongress.com and we will discuss ways you can be part of this historical campaign.
