What: Democrats.com and Codepink are hosting a fantastic Town Hall on April 24 called "Are Peace and Impeachment Possible?" We want to fill the theater so I hope you'll come, bring your friends and help get the word out about it.
When: Thursday, April 24, 6:50-9 p.m.
Where: The Beautiful Grand Lake Theater, 3200 Grand Ave., Oakland

Friends,Please join us at our Town Hall: Are peace and impeachment possible? A discussion of strategies to end the war, prevent war on Iran, and save our Constitution and economy.

We must send the message to Congress: Vote "NO" on Bush's demand for another $102 billion for the Iraq War and start impeachment hearings for Dick Cheney.

Can you help us fill the theater for this exciting event by telling your friends and sending an email out to your lists?

Our keynote speaker is the incredible David Swanson, proprietor of afterdowningstreet.org, who is coming out from D.C. for a rare West Coast appearance.

Also invited are Representatives Barbara Lee, Pete Stark and Lynne Woolsey, who all support impeachment of Dick Cheney, and Congressmembers Nancy Pelosi, Zoe Lofgren, George Miller, Anna Eshoo, Mike Honda and Jay McNerney Ellen Tauscher, Bay Area Reps who don't support impeachment yet.

Other luminaries speaking: Daniel Ellsberg, Cindy Sheehan, Medea Benjamin, Debra Sweet, Norman Solomon, Shirley Golub, Phil Burk, Max Anderson, Shahid Buttar, with great music, door prizes, and the arrival of the "Impeachment Torch", which is circling the Bay Area and will arrive on the Grand Lake stage.

8/21 CodePink Hunger Strike Going on NOW at Pelosi's House

CodePink activists have been fasting and camping at Pelosi's and Feinstein's homes in San Francisco (Pacific Heights) to end the war and impeach Cheney-Bush. Visit them tonight at Pelosi's, 2640 Broadway, between Divisidero and Scott. There was a report today that Pelosi came out of her house and spoke to the fasting women yesterday:

GREAT NEWS: Feinstein actually came out and spoke with the fasters yesterday!!!!
She was concerned about their health and really wanted them to stop fasting. It was on KPFA this morning. Come to Camp Pelosi tonight and hear the details. Pelosi's office has been meeting to decide what to do about the protesters. We'll be at her office again today to plead for a meeting. We ARE making progress!!!! Let's keep the pressure ON! PLEASE join us this evening. Tell your friends and pass the word on to all of your lists. It would be great to get a huge turnout this evening.

Congressperson: The Supremely Honorable BARBARA LEE

I want to join or start if necessary, a Presidential and Vice-Presidential IMPEACHMENT COMMITTEE for the 9th Congressional District in which I live. Let's get these criminals OUT of office and INTO JAIL, where they belong, ASAP.

If you believe like I do, that Impeachment is NOT "off the table", then let's get an IMPEACHMENT swiftboat under way! This is a battle call, and all responsible citizens must now REPORT FOR DUTY ! ! !

I suggest we meet for an hour of coffee, tea and comradeship in downtown Hayward at noon at the La Hacienda Restaurant on Mission Blvd just south of Jackson. I suggest we meet on the first Saturday of each month, until we have OUSTED THE BUMS! I'll try to get the back room there, in case the numbers get large. But ask where the "Hayward Tea Party" is sitting because like the Boston Tea Party, this is a revolution that is long overdue!

If I remember right, coffee and tea are around a dollar there. Bring like minded friends and family and let's get this show on the road!
