SHAME ON YOO: DISMISS, DISBAR, PROSECUTE & ARREST THE TORTURE LAWYER

We'll be at John Yoo's this Sunday to continue speaking out for justice. We're unwilling to simply allow Yoo the peace and quiet of his beautiful home and views, and his cushy $200,000+/year teaching job at UC Berkeley, while children and others have suffered horribly at Bagram and Abu Ghraib prisons. Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld, Rice and other war mongers and profiteers relied on Yoo's legal advice to treat detainees inhumanely and to torture. Yoo doesn't have a prayer of escaping prosecution. Let's get together to let folks know that we're not "Good Germans" who will only look forward and allow a torture enabler to escape justice. Join us for peaceful protest, pie, and justice.

In a post to the Contra Costa Times over the weekend, UC Berkeley's School of Law Dean, Christopher Edley confirmed his determination to shield "Torture Professor" John Yoo from accountability for well documented crimes against humanity. Edley's misapplication of an "academic freedom" defense not only enables UC to continue harboring a known war criminal against community wishes, but calls into question the Dean's motivation for protecting John Yoo.

8/21 CodePink Hunger Strike Going on NOW at Pelosi's House

CodePink activists have been fasting and camping at Pelosi's and Feinstein's homes in San Francisco (Pacific Heights) to end the war and impeach Cheney-Bush.  Visit them tonight at Pelosi's, 2640 Broadway, between Divisidero and Scott. There was a report today that Pelosi came out of her house and spoke to the fasting women yesterday:

GREAT NEWS:  Feinstein actually came out and spoke with the fasters yesterday!!!!
She was concerned about their health and really wanted them to stop fasting. It was on KPFA this morning. Come to Camp Pelosi tonight and hear the details. Pelosi's office has been meeting to decide what to do about the protesters. We'll be at her office again today to plead for a meeting. We ARE making progress!!!! Let's keep the pressure ON! PLEASE join us this evening. Tell your friends and pass the word on to all of your lists.  It would be great to get a huge turnout this evening.

Congressperson: The Supremely Honorable BARBARA LEE

I want to join or start if necessary, a Presidential and Vice-Presidential IMPEACHMENT COMMITTEE for the 9th Congressional District in which I live. Let's get these criminals OUT of office and INTO JAIL, where they belong, ASAP.

If you believe like I do, that Impeachment is NOT "off the table", then let's get an IMPEACHMENT swiftboat under way! This is a battle call, and all responsible citizens must now REPORT FOR DUTY ! ! !

I suggest we meet for an hour of coffee, tea and comradeship in downtown Hayward at noon at the La Hacienda Restaurant on Mission Blvd just south of Jackson. I suggest we meet on the first Saturday of each month, until we have OUSTED THE BUMS! I'll try to get the back room there, in case the numbers get large. But ask where the "Hayward Tea Party" is sitting because like the Boston Tea Party, this is a revolution that is long overdue!
