Emergency Response to False Pardons

If President Bush issues false pardons, pardons of his subordinates for crimes that he himself authorized, people will hold local protests nationwide to demand that all three branches of our government and the media reject Bush's attempt at immunity.

Everyone should go to the nearest state or federal government building at 5 p.m. on the day the pardons are made public AND the following day to rally.

Come on people. We can get the signatures. Its a pleasure gathering signatures when everybody wants to sign!!!! People love I 1001! Keep up the good work. Remember, you can reload on blank forms at www.votehope.wordpress.com . So far, our progress has been incredible, but we can't even slow down for a breath. Keep up the great work!!

Thousands of protesters will gather in the nation's capital from September 15th until the 21st for a massive anti-war/anti-occupation mobilization. The Petraeus Report is scheduled to be released at this time and Congress will be taking up the bill authorizing billions more to prolong this tragic war. This week of action will be launched with a huge march from the White House to the Congress on the 15th. For those of you whose hearts and souls will be in D.C. but bodies are stuck in the other Washington, please join together with others who share your outrage at this administration, the lack of accountability, and the inability of Congress to put the brakes on their violations of the Constitution and total disregard for human rights and the rule of law. Bring signs, attitude, friends, family, and a peaceful countenance. It's time to answer their surge with a surge of our own. We'll have impeachment packets available for distribution.

Join others around the nation who are gathering together at their local spots to declare that we've had enough of this war, enough of the corruption, enough of the lawlessness, enough of the lack of accountability, etc etc. etc. Our numbers may not have hit critical mass yet, but the legal and moral transgressions of this administration certainly have. A simple "ENOUGH" is all you need on your sign. For those of you who have difficulty sticking to a word limit, especially a one word limit, please bring signs with your own brief (traffic passes by rapidly), but detailed, messages.
