Talked to an aide of Darlene Hooleys and he took my opposition to the wiretapping bill down, but does not know her opinion of it.

Just left a voice message with Rep Wu asking that he not give immunity for the illegal wiretapping. How many times is this issue going to keep coming up? I guess until they get their immunity!

January 2, 2008 -- Today Steve launched a new feature on his campaign'’s website, urging his supporters to join the national petition to demand the House begin hearings on an impeachment resolution of Vice President Dick Cheney. Steve declared his support for impeachment investigations in September 2007, citing false statements leading up to the war and the warrantless wiretapping of American citizens in apparent contravention of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

First, I want to thank you for everything you are doing to help my campaign and Democrats across Oregon.

We are just four days from victory and I want share with you an important update.

Last night, the Oregonian/KATU poll showed that Oregonians are rallying to our vision for moving Oregon forward. I’ve traveled our state and heard one message loud and clear: Democrats are winning this year, and it’s because of you - the grassroots volunteers committed to strong Democratic leadership in Oregon and a new direction in America.

But we’re not done yet.

Your efforts and energy are making the difference, and I appreciate everything you are doing, but we need to keep pushing through to 8 pm on Election Day. At this point, the only way we can lose and allow George Bush and Ron Saxton to win is if we stop working.

To be sure your votes count, get them in the today's mail. If you miss this deadline and need the location of a ballot drop off point, or if you need transportation to drop off your ballot, or if you haven't received your ballot and need one, call your local Democratic Party HQ!
