Bill Nelson (D-FL) won't support impeachment
I recently wrote to Bill Nelson, urging him to join the call for impeachment of Bush/Cheney, and received the following response. (Bolding mine.)
From: Bill Nelson Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 Subject: Your response from Senator Bill Nelson
[Please do not reply to this e-mail. If you need to send another message to Senator Nelson, please use the form on his Web site: http://billnelson.senate.gov/contact/index.cfm#email ]
Thank you for informing me of your views. Many Americans would agree that certain actions taken by this Administration warrant impeachment.

Shands Hospital: healthcare for some?
How can any hospital, clinic or doctors office operate in such a heartless and cruel way?
Does the Hippocratic Oath no longer mean anything? Is it merely a matter of formality?

bush is killing florida AND the entire country!!!
impeach george w bush!!! and dismantle his horrible administration!!! bush is LITERALLY SUCKING THE LIFE OUT OF THIS WONDERFUL COUNTRY, and my future home state (florida) is bearing the brunt of bush's iron fist!!! there are SEVERAL rather uneventful financial crises going on in florida, including homeowner's insurance, property taxes, and i even hear that some hospitals are losing money, too! which is literally causing the wonderful sunshine state (and my future home) to lose it's luster! and florida politicians, i hear, are even STRUGGLING TO IMPROVE THE STATE, BUT BUSH IS LITERALLY FORBIDDING IT!!! bush took FOREVER to get help to new orleans and the northern gulf coast after hurricane katrina, you still CAN NOT BRING ANY KIND OF LIQUIDS OR GELS, INCLUDING COLOGNE, DEODORANT, PERFUME, JUICE, SHAMPOO, SUNSCREEN, ETC ONTO COMMERCIAL AIRPLANES; YOU CAN NOT HAVE THEM IN CHECKED OR CARRYON BAGGAGE! not only are people moving out of my future home state, but
THE REAL LEGACY OF GOVERNOR JEB BUSH!!!
THE REAL LEGACY OF GOVERNOR JEB BUSH!!!
As Governor Jeb Bush prepares to exit he is desperately trying to establish a record of his legacy. Why is there no rebuttal to his view of the downsizing, out sourcing, dissolution of agencies receive little press coverage
.
In the Sunday, December 9, 2006 issue of Tallahassee Democrat he is saying that his outsourcing and downsizing has helped the economy of Tallahassee and his total activities has raised Florida's economy and productivity to unprecedented levels!! (Bill Cotterell , Jeb to Tallahassee: You're welcome, Originally published December 10, 2006, Outgoing governor argues his cuts have helped, not hurt, local economy) But there is another truth to his strong slash, burn and bull dose tactic as governor? Further, Jeb Bush did not see it necessary to set in place mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of these outsourcing and downsizing of agencies. Results of state audit inconclusive. Bill Cotterell writes, "Three years into Gov. Jeb Bush's massive privatization of agency personnel services and his online state purchasing service, auditors say it's impossible to document taxpayer savings on the ''People First'' contract with Convergys or the MyFloridaMarketPlace system. (Bill Cotterell, 2006 Results of state audit inconclusive, Originally published December 12, 2006)
Another Stolen Election In Florida - KKKatherine Harris' Fl-13
Yes, there's another stolen election in Florida, KKKatherine Harris' old seat, FL-13..... seems 18,000 voters (13%) in Sarasota County declined to vote for their new congress-critter...
Dist. 13 voting analysis shows broad problem
A review of Sarasota County voting results shows that in almost every precinct a high percentage of voters didn't cast ballots in the hotly contested 13th Congressional District, a trend that likely affected the outcome of the race. Democrat Christine Jennings lost to Republican Vern Buchanan by 368 votes, making it the second closest congressional race in the country. More than 18,000 voters who showed up at the polls voted in other races but not the Buchanan-Jennings race. That means nearly 13 percent of voters did not vote for either candidate...
FL GOP Gubernatorial Nominee Charlie Crist: 'I Never Had Sex With That Man'
Look out America! Another Gay Republican is on the prowl. Gay Republicans are dropping from the sky! Do you know where your children are? Unbelievable! A rising young star in the FL GOP has been boasting about sexual trysts with FL GOP candidate and Jebthro Bush wannabe Charlie Crist. There have been many rumors over the yrs., including one that has Crist as Mark Foley's former roomate (1, 2, 3, 4)....
Crist Denies Trysts - GOP frontrunner: I have never had sex with a man By Bob Norman
A young rising star in the Republican Party has boasted to witnesses of his sexual relationship with Charlie Crist, the frontrunner in the Florida governor's race who has repeatedly denied that he is gay. The GOP staffer, 21-year-old Jason Wetherington, told friends at separate social functions in August that he had sex with Crist... (more)
Davis Catches Crist in FL!
Bigtime black eye for the Bush Cartel if Dems can knock off Jebthro's hand-picked successor. via Goddard's politicalwire...
In Florida, Davis Nearly Catches Crist
In Florida's gubernatorial race, a new Quinnipiac poll shows Rep. Jim Davis (D) has nearly caught Charlie Crist (R) and the race has tightened to a statistical dead heat.
Crist now holds a statistically insignificant 46% to 44% lead.
Said pollster Peter Brown: "The Florida Governor's election is now a real horse race. It took Jim Davis a while to introduce himself to Florida voters, but he seems to have broken through and made a positive impression on many Floridians to whom he was until recently an unknown."
FL Supreme Court passes on Sarasota voting machine balloting
via Magginkat's GranniesAgainstGeorge list comes news from Sarasota Alliance for Fair Elections (SAFE)
For our local supporters: VOTE YES on the Proposed County Charter Amendment for "mandatory voter verified paper ballots; independent random audits of election results; audits required before certification." It is the last item on the ballot in Sarasota County.
Supreme Court passes on Sarasota voting machine balloting
The Florida Supreme Court refused to get involved Thursday in a dispute between the state and a citizens group over a ballot initiative that would require Sarasota County's election system to include a paper - not just electronic - record of votes. The justices voted 5-2 to issue a brief order declining to bump the case up from the 2nd District Court of Appeal... A three-judge District Court panel, at the suggestion of Secretary of State Sue Cobb, had asked the Supreme Court to assume jurisdiction because its "an issue of great public importance."...

Hello From South Florida!!!
Good Afternoon Democrats Of Florida!!!
This is your wake up call!
Democrats.com has given us this new tool for interstate communication, let's roll with it!
I am a 39 year old life long liberal democrat living in Delray Beach Florida.
After living 23 years here in South Florida, I really am surprised by the lack of "Connectivity" between Democrats here in South Florida, let alone the state.
I am looking to use this forum to bring us together for ideas on how we can better this amazing state of ours, ideas on how to cultivate young Democratic talent, ideas on how we can increase grass roots methods of supporting Democratic candidates as well as expressing thoughts & concerns about the issues of the day.
Bill Nelson Beatin' KKKatherine Harris Like a Drum
Poll Shows Fla. Incumbent Leads Harris
(AP) - U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris is trailing by a wide margin in her bid to unseat Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson, according to a poll issued Wednesday. Nelson was favored by 61 percent compared to 33 percent who preferred Harris, who party leaders had tried to force out of the race, and 6 percent were undecided. The results were gathered in a random telephone sampling of 783 likely voters, conducted Oct. 3-8 by Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
