Progressive Democrats will be introducing a Resolution to Impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney at the California State Democratic Party Convention in San Diego. Fwd: U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein responding to your message

Does anyone really believe that Mrs. Defense Contractor would actually
vote to withdraw troops from Iraq?

It kills me that every Democrat keeps talking about how an impeachment
could not succeed. All they need is a thorough investigation, perhaps six months work, with enough publicity, and even the Republicans would nto be able to vote against it. The evidence is already staggering, just not formal enough. All we need is sanother representative with Cynthia McKinney's courage, Henry Waxman's persistence and John Conyer's diplomacy - never mind. We'd still have to deal with Speaker-elect's public image concerns.

Democrates, wake up!

I do not agree with Phil Angelides position on Immigrants. Why does he think that it is okay to allow illegial immigrants a free pass? Why does he think this will get him into office. I am a deomcrate, but I will vode republican because the democrates are unable to find out what matters to most democrates today. 99% of the time, when Mexicans get into an accident, they can't speak english, or any other immigrant for that fact, they seem to be filling out schools with people who think its okay to come here and not speak the language, and most democrates agree with this position, WHY? Can we not be a welcoming coubtry and still maintain our idenity? Democrates wake up before I change my party all together.

How can we turn the tide in CA?

The numbers aren't good.

A recent San Jose State U poll shows;

Schwarzenegger- 46%
Angelides - 33%
Undecided - 21%

Phil's ad campaign linking Ahnuld to GW hasn't had much of an effect
on the voters.

"They know he's a Republican, but they don't see him as Bush's evil twin,'' said Phil Trounstine, who heads the San Jose State research center. "To some degree, he has neutralized his Republican partisanship.''

While the California governor campaigned for Bush in Ohio, a crucial state in the 2004 election, the voters in Democratically leaning California simply are not holding it against him, Trounstine said. He notes while two-thirds of Californians who disapprove of Bush "favor Angelides by a 53-27 percent margin,'' the poll also showed that "people's opinions about Bush are not driving their vote in the governor's race. What's driving their vote is economy, taxes, education and immigration.''
