Presentation of Articles of Impeachment, how the impeachment process works, similarities in crimes of Nixon and Bush (except that Bush is Nixon on steroids), how the impeachment progressed in the case of Nixon, the evidence for impeachment (it's worse than you thought!). Object of meeting: signing petitions, writing letters, mobilizing California Republicans to co-sign the Impeachment Resolutions (one for each of the two headed monster). Please join us.

I am starting this thread to see who is feeling patriotic.  Who seeks to uphold the Constitution?  Who recognizes impeachment as the necessary process for preserving our democracy?

I plan to write more as time allows, but for now I wish to simply open the door, turn on the lights, and see who cares to assemble.

<B>Ask Rep. Goodlatte to Support Cheney Impeachment Hearings</B>

On April 24, 2007 H. Res. 333, Articles of Impeachment Against Dick Cheney, was introduced in Congress. Since then more than a dozen Members of Congress, including Congressman Jim Moran (VA - 8TH district), have signed on as cosponsors of the measure and a recent poll shows that 54% of the American people support impeaching Cheney. Yet our elected leaders rufuse to act.

According to long established precedent, the next step should be Judiciary Committee hearings on impeachment.  Please sign our petition urging Congressman Goodlatte to support these hearings that are so vital in recovering the health of our nation and safeguarding the integrity of our Constitution.

On Impeachment

I am posting below a journal entry that I made back in February of 2005.  It was relevant than and it is just as relevant now. 

AN AMERICAN JOURNAL

On Monday (July 2nd), I gave the following speech to Newark City Council to support my demands for their action in demanding the impeachment of the BOOsh Regime:

"Our initial thought would be to assume that heinous crimes against humanity would never be perpetrated by an American, let alone encouraged by an out of control regime in pursuit of unlimited power, but numerous reports that I have discovered over the past few years, detail a horror story of nightmarish proportions. This is one of the few presentations that I hoped to never deliver, but the lack of action by this council has forced a change of plans. 

If you want to work in VA03 to have Rep Bobby Scott vote to impeach Cheney, Bush, et al please contact me so we can "get busy."

People please! Just look at the data. We've been in this process of a fascist corporate revolution for over thirty years. Is this where you want to go, or not? Big Brother is here, and he's knocking on our doors. It's not anything we can put off for another generation. What happens now, will handed to our kids...the New Hitler Youth/Neocon Generation!

 Use the net for info before it's shut down. Many sites already have been, so it's just a matter of time before all our freedoms are shut down in the name of "Homeland Security." I went shopping today and could hardly find an item in the store that was not made in China. What does this mean for us? What does this mean for the strength of the USA? Are we nothing more than marketeers and distributors for Chinese stuff? What about US jobs? Are we all supposed to be salesmen for Chinese stuff? This is a far cry from where we were 50 years ago.

With the continuing barrage of scandal, lost e-mail, and lost memories combined with a subpoena factory gearing up in Congress (thanks mostly to Henry Waxman), impeachment is becoming possible. At the very least, the gang in the White House is monitoring their political capital with impeachment on their horizon. Now is the time to ratchet up the pressure. Join Central Oregon's Impeachment Forum where we can do our part to redeem America through impeachment. We represent the 2nd Congressional District of Oregon.
