There has been much arguing and gnashing of teeth in the Healthcare argument. Much was made of the CBO assessment that many uninsured would be left out in the final tally of options being considered. One option that makes much sense in insuring the working poor however, deserves careful consideration. The expansion of Medicaid could fill this coverage vacuum.

Some Congressional Democrats are calling for just that in the discussion between expanding Medicaid, or giving subsidies to the poor to in turn give to Big Insurance:

   Why is it that everyone seems so hell bent to accept the idea that we can not have Universal Nationalised Health Care? For every reason BO himself has expressed as to the benifits that his idea of what reforms we need now will bring, we actually need SINGLE PAYER, not some lame "Public Option". The Preamble to the Constitution makes it abundantly clear as to for whom all the benifits of our Union (yes the 1st Union) go to; ourselves.

From the "Things that refresh your day" category we have this story. It is no secret that corporate America has been lining up against working Americans on such essential initiatives as the Employee Free Choice Act, Universal Healthcare, Wages, outsourcing and other priorities. Well, now that Americans actually own most of these entities our friends in the labor movement are fighting back hard.

Yes, these leaders are calling corporate America and the banks out on their complete failure in helping crash the American economy:

Union leaders are pushing to reshape the boards of directors of some of America’s largest companies, hoping to use government bailouts as leverage to fundamentally alter the way the companies are run in the years to come.

Bill O'Reilly has finally gone too far.  His hate speech directed at Dr Tiller has indirectly or directly led to this physician's assasination by the right wing loons.  Today O'Reilly backpedaled and tried to absolve himself of any responibility, while AT THE SAME TIME still accusing Dr Tiller of being responsible for "60,000" deaths. 

The only way to remove O'Reilly and his ilk from our airwaves is to hit him where it hurts.  Tell all the advertisers on Fox News that since they are supporting hate speech then they will be boycotted until they withdraw their sponsorship. 

Please spread the word and get out the lists of advertisers!  I see on this site there was an attempt to do this same thing before but the most recent list here was drawn up in 2007.  Time to update and mobilize!
