Rep. John Murtha's untimely death
Sorry to hear John Murtha has died. He will be missed.
Shall we just have a republican placed in his seat, or do we actually want to try and keep this seat in upcoming special election.
We will need to try harder than last time, after all it could be Massachusetts again.
Peace Blimp
What do you think of this project? http://www.PeaceBlimp.com
Imagine...a "Peace Blimp"- defiantly displaying a message of peace across the skies of the nation, unable to be dismissed, ignored or brushed aside. Rallies for peace greet the blimp in every city it visits. Politicians, celebrities, movie stars, athletes, war veterans and peace activists make the call to bring our troops home by boarding the blimp for a ride. Crowds flock to the events and are educated about the war. With each stop along the tour the momentum for peace grows from a dull roar into an undeniable fervor until the seemingly endless wars come to an end.
Obama gets a spine
I do not know how everyone else feels about Obama's verbal thrashing of republicans, but I for one like it. What did he have to lose at this point.
I do feel that he waited way too long to let them have it, and it probably fell on deaf ears, as far as the republicans, but I am proud of him for doing it.
Now lets see if the media attention he got from this will result in any bipartisanship at all from the republicans.
Right now Obama needs our support more than ever. If enough people will stand up and let people know they support him the media will not be able to go back to bashing everything he is trying to accomplish.
If we are not willing to stand up and support our own, we do not deserve to have the majority in Washington.
Lets try and be more positive this year than we were last year, that should not be very hard at all. The bar was already set so low.

Restore the Power to the People:
¿Plata o plomo?
The U.S. Supreme Court decision granting corporations the same free speech rights as natural persons allows them to spend unlimited amounts of money to influence elections and public affairs.
Corporations, foreign and domestic, can now force politicians to choose silver or lead when supporting or opposing corporate and foreign power interests.
Any politician who places the well-being of the public over corporate demands can count on well-financed negative publicity at the next election.
Moreover, corporations will be able to directly influence the election of state judges and the confirmation of federal judges.
Big Banks Thriving
Consumers can't quit the big banks

All the talk about moving your money out of big banks fell on deaf ears.
Americans are like sheep, herded by the right, to do their bidding.
Starting to wonder if America is worth saving. It might be like any downtown, the best way to save it is to let it die first.
Political Terriorists
NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The four men accused of trying to tamper with Democratic U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu's office phones share a common experience as young ideologues writing for conservative publications.
Will the press insist they be tried , or will the press say 95% of Americans want us to just forgive and forget?

ABC 'THIS WEEK'
Abc's This week with ----, Finally has removed the left view from the roundtable. There was no left voice around the table. This is a sign of things to come.
Unsupreme Court Decision
Since foreigners are forbidden to make campaign contributions to Federal elections and corporations are comprised of stockholding citizens of different countries,
does the unsupreme court now have to go back and determine not letting foreigners make contribution is unconstitional or will any corporation that even has one foreign stockholder not be allowed to make contributions.
Or will the unsupreme court condone breaking federal law by allowing foreigners to contribute.
Also how can the unsupreme court allow corps to have unlimited contributions, while limiting amounts of American citizens contributions.
Also does this mean that Hollywood, actors, singers, intertainers, etc, now can write into every movie it makes political statements?
Does this mean never ending political campaigns?
Is there any integrity left in Democrats
The way things have gone this year, this should be expected.
It sure is hard to be a Democrat these days.
Stock selloff
While it is impossible to dump corporate stock from 401k's, it is possible to realocate shares to different funds to hurt corps.
Those that still have stocks need to let your corporations know you will dump your stock for other options if they campaign against your party.
In fact gold and precious metals is only stable market.
I hope that there is a run on the markets that makes other selloffs look like a walk in the park.
I also hope we are asked to help them again, and we say you are on your own.
Research your stocks to see which way your corporation leans. Then do what is in your best interest.
