Wyoming County, NY is a rural county approximately halfway between Buffalo, NY, and Rochester, NY.

We have 600 square miles of land in Wyoming County with an estimated population of 43,000 people-our average per capita personal income is less than 23,000 dollars. In Wyoming County itself-we have an estimated 6400 paid employees. This means  the people that work within the county-there are many self employed individuals as well, and this number does not reflect our educational employees. It also does not reflect our agricultural market as that is the main source of income in Wyoming County. In fact our YTD employment growth is -1.1%.

Of the 63 counties in the state of New York-we are number 58-for employment growth. Wyoming County supports 31 small rural communities.

There are approximately 16,00 owned homes here-34 of which are being foreclosed upon as I write this.

 I received an e-mail that was genius! why bailout AIG for 85 billion? Give it to American citizens to boost the economy.  Foolish? there is Approx 310million Legal citizens in the US. Approx 200million are over the age of 18. If we gave every legal over the age of 18 an equal share ,that =$425,000 each. Then tax it @30% would give the government 25billion back ,leaving approx $275,000.  What would we do with that?  Pay off mortgages ,buy cars ,get a good education,pay off personal debt.  Now that would boost the economy!!!!

I have sent the following letter to many members of congress but I can't reach em all. Feel free to cut and paste anything you can use.

Dear Congressperson,

As the owner of a small business I have to pay very close attention to any contract we are asked to enter into. I have read and re-read the Proposal for Bailout Plan supposedly drafted by Henry Paulson(?) last week. Never in my life have I seen such a blatant power play by anyone. This piece of (?) legislation has more holes that Henry Whittingtons face. After carefully reviewing the proposed Act the only sections I could fined no problem with were section 3, Considerations and section 12, Definitions. Let me sight some examples:

Section 2 (a) Authority to Purchase.--The Sectretary is authorized to Purchase....."on such terms and conditions as determined by the sectretary"...
Talk about the fox guarding the henhouse. This gives all the power to determine what is going to be done to the doer.

As time goes on and this manufactured crisis in the financial industry is not able to be resolved, suspending the debate(s) or delaying the continuation of the election campaign is tantamount to suspending the election itself.

Obama should hold a Town Meeting, if McCain does not show up.

How long will the Bush administration be allowed to cry wolf before people understand that the Bush administration is the wolf!?
