Stop Bush Pardons
One week ago, the Bush-Cheney Administration was thorougly rejected by the American people. George Bush's approval ratings are the lowest in Presidential history, due in part to his criminal actions like invading Iraq, torture, and warrantless wiretapping.
Yet Washington is already buzzing with plans to block all investigations of Bush's crimes and even to pardon everyone involved - including Bush and Cheney themselves.
Can Bush pardon everyone in his administration? Absolutely.
Will he? Only if we let him.
We must create a groundswell of opposition to any pardons by George Bush so he understands that he will be impeached and prosecuted for issuing corrupt pardons.

Impeachment trumps pardons
I support this effort and have filled out the petition. But I also want to point out that people who are pardoned can still be impeached, and failure to comply with impeachment-related subpoenas is itself impeachable. While impeachment wouldn't lead to criminal convictions, or removal from office, it would still have a point: persons who are impeached and convicted can not take federal office ever again.
I wrote about this here: "What trumps a pardon?" For the short version of the argument, find an online copy of the Constitution and search for
(1) "except in Cases of Impeachment", and
(2) "disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States"

I wonder if this man has ever thought about the burdens he iposed on his personal family and friends. This people will have to cope with his reputation for the remainder of their lives too. Anytime either his or their names come up, WHAM! that name again. If he decides to pardon him-self and the other criminals, his family will be the ones forced to bear his actions, as much as he will.

But hey, since the wussification of America via Republicanism, I don't expect Republican "men" to be getting much of an education with their heads up their bosses ass. So rather than debate via science and logic, why not just have a cage match?
On second thought, that may not work either. I mean tens of millions of Republican "men" fanned the flames of inane military policy yet failed to enlist, thus screwing over our troops. Wusses.

P.S. There are advantages to nuking Iraq or shooting our kids out of cannons towards countries harboring terrorists. The key to military strategy however, is balancing advantages with possible disadvantages.
World War III should have been waged in Afghanistan to gain us Bin Laden's head, with a then lighting fast return to peace and Economic power. This would have shook the globe over USA resolve and efficiency. As it is, our entire War in Afghanistan cost only as much as what we are spending in a few weeks in Iraq.
