Sore Loserman Refuses to Accept Defeat
Despite a last-minute smear campaign that falsely blamed Ned Lamont for the crash of his web site, Joe Lieberman lost the Democratic primary to Lamont by 10,000 votes.
But instead of accepting the verdict of Democratic voters who elected him to office for 30 years, Lieberman was bitterly defiant:
"The old politics of partisan polarization won today," Lieberman said. "For the sake of our state, our country and my party, I cannot and will not let that result stand."
"Tomorrow morning our campaign will file the necessary petitions … so that we can continue this campaign for a new politics of unity and purpose."
How can there be "unity" when Joe Lieberman refuses to listen to the final judgment of the voters? The only result of Lieberman's continued campaign can be bitter divisiveness.

1. Push Harry Reid to strip Lieberman of all committee assignments.
2. Let people know what a sore loser Lieberman is.
3. Get all Democrats -- including Bill Clinton -- to publicly back Ned Lamont.
4. Get the Democratic interest groups who backed Lieberman to switch allegiances in the general.

Lieberman Lost Today. I'd Be Nervous In November
Lieberman did lose, and made his mistakes.
The pictures of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson
in the background of Ned's victory speech, will be an campaign ad piece I guarantee. Republicans will see that and abondon their weak candidate. Plus, the anti-war talk we like to project might not be as productive on a whole. Early polls from Zogby
and one other agency claim a 14 point victory for Lieberman in a three way race. Mr. Lieberman must have those numbers. That is a definite reason he is not afraid of an independent run.

Besides, I keep hearing that the moderate republicans and independents are going to vote for Lieberman. That makes absolutely no sense, since the majority of Americans are against the war that Bush and Lieberman are in love with.

I would take issue that we project "Anti War".
It is true that those who follow a traditional Christian path, or one of a traditional Liberal heart, are Democrats, but in this case we are not speaking of Anti War, but rather Anti Insanity.
After all, Americans in general were not presented with the choice Republicans now claim for them:
-Money Pit of a War.
-Open ended War.
-Zero chance of "victory".
- Letting those who attacked us go free while pursuing other political goals.
-Alienating Nuclear Allies.
-etc.
Instead they were told it would be quick, cheap, have few casualties, and rose petals would be thrown at us. Joe and Company knew from the outset that they were using the "what could it hurt" logic to get us into Iraq to be followed up by the "in for a penny in for a pound" bullshit we are now handed. The rest of Joe's Aristocratic buddies were just too brain dead to know any better but Joe knew.

We can start by having her pay the taxes she USED to pay rather than borrowing from foreign governments and putting the debt on those who work for a living.

Made his mistakes...? Where have you been? Lieberman did NOT make "mistakes" -- he purposely chose to support not only Dubya's senseless war against the Iraqi people, but also to support a neo-fascist PNAC administration. That is not "centrism" -- it's treason.
Let's say that you are correct, and Lieberman runs as an "Independent," and wins the election. So what? He will no longer have access to Committees or a Chairmanship position when we Democrats take back Congress. He will be an instant lame duck with absolutely zero political capital. He will be shunned by the real Democrats in our Party, and only pandered to by the Republicans when they need his slimy single vote. He will be shown to be the political prostitute that he really is, and even K Street will abandon him.
He may claim to be an "Independent" (whatever in the hell an "Independent" is), but the whole nation knows that he is a neoconservative Republican in thin disguise. If he were really an honest person, he would just switch Parties and run as a Republican, but something tells me that he doesn't have the guts to be that forthright.
Lieberman? Who cares anymore, now that he is effectively out of the Democratic Party. That was the object of the exercise. Bye bye Joe, and good riddance. Don't let the door hit you in the ass!

So Lieberman still is not getting the picture! Now he’s going to run as an independent, and he can do as he pleases. It does make me think of a old hunting dog who becomes to lazy to hollow, if you don’t know where he is, he isn’t much good as a hunting dog.
