Mark Manley for U.S. Congress in OK-1, against Sullivan

Mark Manley for Congress

Experiment in a Free Democracy

Mark Manley, Democrat from Tulsa, has filed for the office
of US Congress, District 1. Mark believes Oklahomans should have a better
choice this fall and vows to run his campaign with little or no money.
“I will not be bought and paid for by any corporation or special
interest,” commented Mark. "Government needs to support the
people and Constitution first." Mark has been a principled Tulsa
Impeachment Activist for the last couple of years and believes our country is
in a real state of crisis. His platform will include ending the
occupation of Iraq, holding government accountable, investing in alternative
energy and will support an aggressive policy on global warming.

Mark’s past experience in Tulsa has been many years in
manufacturing and more recently, patient care at St. Francis hospital.
He, as well as many of his supporters, believes that it’s time for real
representative government, representing real people on the important issues of
the day. The Manley campaign will focus on presenting a new documentary
“Considering Democracy” for discussion in various town hall type
meetings. Mark looks forward to engaging regular folks in the most
important election of our time.

"Mark's principles recognize not only the right of
the people to demand representation from our government but also accepts the
responsibility of the people to step up to the plate when we're not being
represented by our Government" said Joni LeViness, Peace House~Tulsa
Volunteer and veteran anti-war activist and civil disobedience resource in
Tulsa. "Mark Manley embodies the spirit and the energy of Woody
Guthrie, Will Rogers and Dennis Kucinich! It's a testament to the spirit
of democracy that still exists in the hearts of Oklahomans that he's willing to
step up to the plate!”

After all, our government should be for the people, by the
people, NOT for the wealthy, by the rich and powerful.
