Like many of you, I have been anxiously spreading the word about the
WexlerWantsHearings.com petition in support of immediate impeachment
hearings of V.P.Cheney. We are just near the deadline when Congressman
Wexler will present petition results next week to House members.

I have been in touch with the Wexler camp and they will be keeping the
petition up after the deadline, but only those signatures on the petition
prior to the deadline will be included in the presentation to the House.

I know many of us will be participating in Witness Against Torture events
this Friday. I have decided to collect signatures for the Wexler petition
at the Chicago Witness Against Torture Action and am asking you to
consider
doing the same in your town. The petition is so near the deadline of January 15th, but we
are not near the goal of 250,000 signatures. The petition is such a
success
especially with the distraction of the holidays and the continuing and
ever
increasing media coverage of the presidential campaign that it seems a
shame to miss the mark, come up short on the goal.

I know that some organizations will be collecting impeachment signatures,
but the Wexler camp has heard nothing of this effort. It is reasonable to
assume those signatures will end up on different petitions. Don't you
wish
there were only ONE petition for impeachment?

If you are able to collect impeachment signatures specifically for the Wexler petition,
you need to collect the following: First and Last name, Zip code, and
Email. Phone number is optional. When you have collected these signatures,
you can contact me as I have gathered the information on how to get
these submitted properly.
