This fantastic ad by Defenders of Wildlife exposes Sarah Palin's savagery towards animals, especially wolves. A focus group found the most prevalent emotional responses from voters were "angry" and "disturbed" after viewing the ad. As Digby writes,

What is Sarah Palin whispering to Todd? Could it be, "we're above the law, dude"? AP reports,

The husband of Gov. Sarah Palin will ignore a subpoena from Alaska lawmakers investigating whether the Republican vice presidential nominee's firing of a state commissioner constituted an abuse of power, officials from her campaign said on Thursday.

Todd Palin was among 13 people, including several Palin administration staffers, subpoenaed by a legislative committee to testify in private or at a hearing scheduled for Friday.

The AIP's fondest wish has always been secession (independence), but they have in recent years moderated their positions somewhat.  They want Alaskans to vote on whether to leave the Union outright, to become a "commonwealth" (like Puerto Rico), or to resume territorial status.  I don't think either of the latter options are legal or constitutional.  But even if they are, the inclusion of secession--independence--in the provision that they seek to put before the Alaska voters is, well, it is TREASON.

A week ago we posted a petition urging the Corporate Media to call Sarah Palin a Serial Liar, and we had a huge impact. Now everyone knows Palin is lying every time she brags about opposing the Bridge to Nowhere, and the Corporate Media is willing to call her a Liar.

The DailyKos tracking poll shows the impact of our efforts. Palin's initial +17 favorable rating (due exclusively to empty Corporate Media hype) pulled McCain's up slightly, but as Palin's favorables sank like a stone (now -1), she pulled McCain down right with her.

And Palin's favorables will continue their downward plunge with each news cycle. Yesterday Carly Fiorina said Palin was unqualified to run a major corporation. (Fiorina was quickly "disappeared" from TV.) Up in Alaska, McCain's goons are trying to shut down the Troopergate investigation, but Alaskans are fighting back.

Explaining how she felt when John McCain offered her the Vice-Presidential spot, my Vice-Presidential candidate, Governor Sarah Palin, said something very profound: “I answered him ‘Yes’ because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can’t blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we’re on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can’t blink. So I didn’t blink then even when asked to run as his running mate.”

Alaska State Rep. Les Gara explains Troopergate:

This investigation was started by a Republican-dominated Alaska Legislature to look into Governor Palin's conduct in seeking the termination of a State Trooper, once married to the Governor’s sister, Trooper Michael Wooten. The McCain camp wants to stop it by saying it's a "Democratic" investigation. Apart from facts, and the reputations the McCain folks don't mind destroying, there's not a lot standing in the way of this strategy.
