I reject your premise, especially since you are rejecting my answers. I will not put aside the question of what the policies are destined to do because that IS THE POINT.

I was just reading an article about El Rushbo...from last year.
It listed his platform if he did decide to run for President.. so how appropriate to have somewhere to post this. If anyone wants to read the article here is the link to it:

Recently, I sent Limbaugh an e-mail message, his preferred means of long-distance communication, asking what his own presidential agenda would look like. His answer reflects his actual concerns. A Limbaugh administration would seek to:
1. Open the continental shelf to drilling. Ditto the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
2. Establish a 17 percent flat tax.
3. Privatize Social Security.
4. Give parents school vouchers to break the monopoly of public education.
5. Revoke Jimmy Carter’s passport while he is out of the country.
6. Abandon all government policies based on the hoax of man-made global warming.

would get .0001% of the vote :)
now if we could only establish a flat-ulence tax i'd support it!

Years ago I had read an article by Molly Ivins (I believe was the writer). She evidently participated in an activity where Oxycontin rush was a debater. He was so flustered because he wasn't in control of the mike, he couldn't make an argument. I wish I could find that article.
I was watching Johnathon Alter today on MSNBC. He was describing what's happening with the leaderless conservanazi party. They need a strong leader. Like Adolf Hitler. Like Oxycontin rush. I hope it happens. rushbo will be responsible for sending the conservanzis into the hinterland of the political world. Too bad.

You call this debate?
What debate? This was an obnoxious verbal crushing bordering on anarchy which resulted from a counter-point mob that desired to abide by no rules. It is reflective of small minds that can't bear to hear other view points and cannot bear to give any consideration or respect for those who believe differently. This reminds me of the night that Milt Rosenberg interviewed an Obama researcher and President's supporters crushed the discussion with unrelated talking points and name calling.
These tactics are a disgrace to true democratic, public discourse. Any self-respecting intellectual liberal would be appalled.

Limpballs does not want to debate -- he wants to gain more publicity (notoriety) to increase his "dittohead" ratings.

A proper direct response to Rush, by true intellectuals, is...
...theater.
That is the arena Rush works in, and that is where he must be met.
Indirect "responses" to Rush abound: they include all of this civilization's science.
Marquis of Queensbury rules are brought up by ditto heads when it suits their purpose, and rejected when it does not (better than 99% of the time).
It is also brought up when the focus is narrow. I would argue for the broader perspective laid out above.

(Bernie Ward)who knew him when he was a minor radio personality in Sacramento, has often mentioned over the years that Rush was ok to talk to in the past, but that Rush has NO ability to debate anything.
Rush does a show that does not require him to defend any statement using facts. His followers swallow anything he says. Rush deals in entertainment instead of documented facts.
Check out Rush's educational level. He only has a high school diploma. Rush, in today's world, plays the part of the Pied Piper quite well.
