Rightwing Conspiracy Theories

Glenn Beck forced Van Jones to resign as the unofficial "green jobs czar" because Jones lent his name to a "911 Truth" petition. Key members of the White House Press Corpse decided that asking any questions about 911 made Jones an advocate of an outrageous "conspiracy theory" and immediately disqualified him from any position in politics.

Of course Glenn Beck spends four hours every day on TV and radio not just carelessly lending his name to petitions with questions, but manufacturing and relentlessly promoting completely baseless conspiracy theories.

By the "Van Jones standard," anyone in government, politics, or the media who lends their name to any conspiracy is immediately disqualified from public life. So let's make a list of rightwing conspircy theories for the past 15 years, and identify everyone in office and in the media who has lent their name.

Bill and Hillary Clinton murdered their political opponents and some friends too (Vince Foster).

Bill Clinton raped several women.

Bill Clinton attacked Afghanistan after the U.S.S. Cole terror attack in 1998 as a "wag the dog" diversion to the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Al Gore supported Bill Clinton's affair with Lewinsky.

Al Gore claimed he "invented the Internet."

Manual recounts in close elections were unconstitutional.
