On 5/10/07, Rep. Sanford Bishop betrayed the voters and troops of Georgia's 2nd Congressional District by voting to continue George Bush's disastrous Iraq War forever.
Democrats.com is looking for an "aggressive progressive" Democrat who will challenge Bishop in a Democratic primary in 2008.

I would love to run against Bishop
No one ever runs against him. I still do not vote for him, I leave it blank. His voting record is awful! I write to him and call him on various issues and I do not get a decent response. His aid just tells me "I'll let him know."
He never answered my question as to why his name is not on HR 676 for Universal healthcare. He continues to support the war,...
I do not know if I can run. I am registered as an independent. Is it too late to register as a candidate? I have no political experience except as an active citizen. I have a website on healthcare and a petition I have started. ( http://healthcare2008.bravehost.com ) I just want to run even if it is to see another name up against his. No one EVER runs agaisnt him!
