On 5/10/07, Rep. John Barrow betrayed the voters and troops of Georgia's 12th Congressional District by voting to continue George Bush's disastrous Iraq War forever.

Democrats.com is looking for an "aggressive progressive" Democrat who will challenge Barrow in a Democratic primary in 2008.

Where will my vote go?

I am a first time voter. I was drug out out of my apathy to look for candidates who are against the war. I believe in a balanced budget. A continued war and continued tax cuts will increase our national debt. In 2007 we spent over 500 billion on defense. Over 72 billion for research for the military. Less than 3 billion on wind and solar. Now I pay oner $4 for gas. Imangine that. A clean green energy policy is what we need. John Barrow looks like a republican on these issues. Why?
