DAVID SCOTT OPPONENT
I live in the district that David Scott represents and our community would like to support Donzella James in her run against him. She did qualify and is running. Would you recommend her as a good choice to run against Scott?
Thanks for your input,

Funding to Enable the Iraq War to Continue
Rep. Scott has stated--in writing--two times that he will "only support appropriating additional funds for U.S. military operations in Iraq for the re-deployment of all our troops out of Iraq." One was in a July 19, 2007 letter to the President, co-signed by Scott and 68 other members of the House; the other, in a June 16, 2008 letter to his constituents. In other words, he insists that he will not support continuing the war, only the withdrawal of our troops.
Unfortunately, he has broken this commitment, not once, but three times, within the past 6 months. He has let down the citizens of the 13th Congressional District by voting to support unrestricted funding of the war in Iraq in December 2007, May 15, 2008, and now, May 19, 2008.
