Call For An Immediate Cease-Fire in LebanonEvery day in Iraq, Bush's "victory" results in the murder of 100 civilians. In Afghanistan, the resurgent Taliban is on the attack. But the Bush Administration, the Neocons, and the Corporate Media are once again "marketing" a war - this time in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) will introduce a resolution Wednesday that calls on President Bush to appeal to all sides for a cessation of hostilities in the Israeli-Lebanon conflict and to commit the United States to multi-party negotiations. For a copy of the resolution see: http://www.truthdig.com/images/reportuploads/KUCINI_090_xml.pdf This Resolution already has 20 Co-Sponsors. We ask you today to write your Representative to strongly urge that he/she sign on as a cosponsor to this Resolution. This Resolution is in line with the recent statement on the Israel/Palestine/Lebanon crisis put forth by PDA. You can read our statement here: http://www.pdamerica.org/articles/news/israeli-occupation.php The one-click form below will send your personal message to all your government representatives selected below, with the subject "Call for an immediate cease-fire in Lebanon." At the same time you can send your personal comments only as a letter to the editor of your nearest local daily newspaper if you like.More InformationPowered by The People's Email Network, subject to their own terms and conditions

Petition InstructionsThank you for taking a stand on this important issue! Our petition system (created by The People's Email Network) will deliver the message on the left directly to your two U.S. Senators and one Representative, and you will see their names after you press submit. We request your address so (a) we can identify your Representatives; (b) your Representatives can verify that you live in their district; (c) your Representatives can send you a reply. If you are a U.S. citizen living abroad, use your U.S. voting address (usually your last U.S. address even if you no longer get mail there.) Sections (2) and (3) are purely optional. We hope you'll use (3) to tell your friends because the more people who sign our petitions, the more Congress will listen to us. You should expect a reply from your Representatives by email or snail mail. If you do not, call their office at 202-225-3121 and ask why they have not responded to your constituent email.
