The Pentagon Post Lives Up to its Name

Here at Democrats.com, we've called the so-called Washington Post by its real name - the Pentagon Post - about 4,370 times.
Why? Because on the crucial foreign policy issues of our day, the Post is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the global imperialists who run the Pentagon.
This has been true for decades. It was flagrantly on display in the runup to Iraq, when real facts by real reporters were buried on page A18 while Pentagon-fed lies dominated the front page and the editorial pages.
And now we have the smoking gun: the Post refuses to call Iraq a "civil war" - despite objective reality - because it would be bad p/r for Bush's war.
[Dana] Priest: Well, I think one of the reasons the President resists that label is because it equates almost with a failure of U.S. policy. I'll say for the Washington Post, we haven't labeled it a civil war and I've asked around here today to see why not or what’s the thinking on that and really our reporters have not filed that. We try to avoid the labels, particularly when the elected government itself does not call its situation a civil war. Certainly—and I would agree with General McCaffrey on this — absolutely the level of violence equals a civil war…
The Iraqi people know they're dying in a civil war. But as long as Bush and the Pentagon neocons are pouring Kool-Aid, the Pentagon Post will gladly serve it to all of its readers.

Bush's Lap Dogs Such As Maliki in Iraq, Not The Answer
I was glad to read this article about the High Priests at the Pentagon and the
Washington Post.
As Democrats we should level with the American people about what has happened since we dropped nuclear bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima to end the War in the Pacific.
We have lost our soul as a Nation and completely forget the ideas and goals of the framers of the Constitution and the words of FDR talking about the American People in their righteous might will win against the forces of evil. Our mission in the world was to be the City Upon a Hill and a beacon of hope for oppressed people throughout the world.
Now we romanticize MacArthur threatening the Chineese with extinction from nuclear weapons this is what the American People want from their government against Iran, Syria and
Iraq. I call upon all Americans to examine your conscience and to return to your roots and the principles of the Founding Fathers.
