The Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Rahm Emanuel should go - now. The current edition of Time paints an unflattering portrait of a politician as obsessed with his own ego as Dorian Grey.

Democratic Congressional candidates have gone on the record to reveal his bullying and intimidation. Emanuel has a list of approved consultants - which does not include either Afro-Americans or Hispanics. That is outrageous.

Worse. Emanuel is a top-ranking enforcer for the DLC. Complaints that he bullies congressional candidates into adopting his preferred bland centrist agenda that is worthy of Joe Lieberman have surfaced all across the country. Democratic congressional candidates are complaining about Emanuel's rough and tough, take-no-prisoners hostility and control-freakism that is destroying their grassroots campaigns.

These complaints are hardly any surprise, because Emanuel is a right-wing hardliner on core neoconservative issues like the war and the blatantly imperialist agenda of PNAC which is typical of the DLC and its mercenaries. He supports the war and the Bush Doctrine. 'Nuff said.

Yesterday, Emanuel masterminded the loss of the race to replace damned Republican congressman, Randy Cunningham who is now serving a prison sentence for bribery and corruption. The Cunningham seat should have been a shoe-in for the Democrat, Francine Busby.

This prominent defeat for Emanuel's captaincy of the DCCC does not augur well for the midterms this November.

To top it all, Emanuel is leading the internecine battle against the progressive reforms of Governor Howard Dean.

Emanuel has the track record of an agent provacateur of the Lieberman school who is damaging the Democratic Party.

Emanuel has been one of our most damaging bulls in our collective china shop for far too long.
