Net NeutralityThe Net Neutrality War is now on in earnest. Even though the House has passed a corporate-friendly measure and the Senate has yet to take one up on the floor, the Corporate interests are hitting back against the grass roots net neutrality movement. "Hands Off The Internet" is a corporate funded anti-regulation, anti-net neurtrality astroturf group.
Can you believe these people? They're posing as civil rights advocates but they're lying. They're really anti-civil rights, anti-equal protection, anti-equal access, and anti-net neutrality. They want big telecoms to control everything, a la deregulation. Their ad is running on this Democrats.com front page, too! That sure is sneaky, or something!

Democracy
The telecom and cable businesses want to add another stream of income by giving those that pay more will have preferential accessto the Internet. The media companies want to control the content on the Internet as they control the film, radio, television and newspaper content. They would like to destroy the Internet outlets that report the actual news. The government would certainly like to shutdown the free speach that is on the Internet. Net Newtrality promotes democracy which is anathema to Bush and his corporate cronies.
