NSA has massive database of Americans' phone calls

If you’re not afraid of these people yet, I suggest you have not been paying enough attention. From USA Today:

NSA has massive database of Americans' phone calls

The National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth, people with direct knowledge of the arrangement told USA TODAY…

For the customers of these companies, it means that the government has detailed records of calls they made — across town or across the country — to family members, co-workers, business contacts and others.

What’s to stop the regime in power, whoever it might be, from using this information against its perceived political enemies? As I keep telling the right-wing crazies who write to me, whatever power they grant to George Bush will be available to Hillary Clinton when she becomes president. Not that I’m supporting Hillary for president, but it makes their neck veins bulge because they hate her so much. But this is exactly how we should all look at incursions of government power: If we don’t want that power in the hands of people we don’t like, then we’d better not put that power in the hands of people we do like.

And then there’s the matter of all the “privatizing” going on. To the Bushistas, privatization means giving away to their buddies whatever hasn’t been nailed down, and even some things that have. What kind of business advantage could someone obtain if he was able to snoop around in his rivals’ phone records?

The Issue

The revelation that Bush is spying on the phone calls of ordinary Americans may be the winning issue in 2006. This is something that hits all Americans. Americans have an expectation of privacy when they make their phone calls. Bush's intrusion on the privacy of all Americans is something most Americans will be mad about.

DATA MINING

Data mining is what the bu$h regime is accomplishing with this program of monitoring phone calls by way of records kept by companies. I have nothing to hide. I served my country at one time, I would not serve in the military under the idiot, gwbu$h. he wants to spy on Americans.
Since they are creating a data base and have those records, it seems only right that I should ship them the real records I have so as not to be falsely accused by some error on my phone record and bill. That way, they can have a hard copy. Someone has to handle it and take care of it. They can also compare my records that I send them to the ones the company sends them. Maybe if I'm being overcharge, one of those idiots in charge will correct it. Hopefully in my favor.
Think about it.

ATTENTION: This forum is being monitored by the NSA and other intelligence agencies. You might not be aware of it, but we are enemies of the state. I sure hope they don't find out that that gwbu$h is an Air National Guard DESERTER and a former doper. ;)
