High Gas Prices [revisited]...

RUETERS:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Tuesday he is "concerned" about high gasoline prices, and pledged that the government will keep a close watch out for profiteering.

"I'm concerned about higher gasoline prices," Bush said. "The government has the responsibility to make sure that we watch very carefully and investigate possible price-gouging, and we will do just that."

U.S. crude oil futures hit a record of $70.88 a barrel on Tuesday on fears of supply disruptions in Iran stemming from its nuclear standoff with the West, as well as lingering outages in Nigeria.

Gas price gouging...

seems to be the 'soup du jour'...

It's not 'price gouging' stupid--it's the 'war on terror'...the fear of Iran and the fact that Bush won't cut a deal with Iran ...

the price on the barrel may go up to $100 by 2008...

High gas prices = G W Bush!! --[He's not doing a thing about it...& blaming everyone else]...

The Bush Adminstration is a pathetic joke.

If anybody thinks they are a good adminstration should be slapped in the face.

concern

Submarine   USS Wahoo  ss238

His concern is heartbreaking.........

He is concerned that Dick Cheney and all of his
oil buddies are not making enough.

Raking it in hand over fist!

I wouldn't count on the price gouging going down very much with this gang of BANDITS in charge. They're rolling in money and loving it!

Impeachment NOW!

Gouging and gutting

George and his patrician friends are gouging and gutting the American people. Maybe our president should have been a little more fuel conscious rather than jetting hither and thither to push his dead agenda or to try to convince us that it is our American duty to continue his illegal and immoral war. We the American people should be the decision makers, not our decider-in chief. We need to impeach him. Even if he ultimately becomes the most impotent lame duck in history, his continued presence in the Oval Office is an insult to the memory of the great men who worked there for the good of the American people and the country. Enough is enough,

Bush 'is no conservative'...

on Tuesday this week; I was headed into No Virginia [from Wash DC]...I heard the 'Bush entourage'...was headed to Loudoun County [Sterling, VA]...where Bush was addressing another Northern VA [staged press conference]...

Amazing how the 'Loudoun Police'; halt all the traffic from backroads to let the 'Bush caravan' go thru; they stopped traffic thru many streets --and didn't have a bit of concern of 'who' may had to get to work --school or whatever....'just because "Bush" was coming thru...

also too, his entourage is a 20+ car [with limo] Suburbans, 20+ police motorcycles, Ambulance, and many officials that trail around Wash DC /No Va --just to take this 'incompetent' President --wherever he has to go.

where's the 'K Car' ..and/or Hybrid SUV's that could trot this 'President' around town; who's done nothing about the 'energy factor'; and why should he be driven around like a 'King'!

Higher Gas Prices

are here to stay until the next global recession or depression roles in.

Watch it spike when Bush nukes Iran.

"War is a Racket" Brig. Gen. Smedley D. Butler

Or until we regain our

Or until we regain our sanity, tax the gougers, and return the funds either in terms of:

-rebate checks

or

-salary increases to soldiers who presently work for below market wages.

What the heck

I just read on Fox Noise that some survey says that Americans don't really care about gas prices, I think this is exactly the reason why we have such high prices, the media says that no matter how much they go up we will be willing to pay.  But there is also a catch-22 in this whole equation, without gas, many in areas without public transportation cannot work, so they have to pay the prices just to make a living. After bills and gas and food, there may be somewhat in the neighborhood of $50 for incidentals.  The oil companies and this administration are raping us.
