Bombing Iran: Rove's Plan to Wag the Elephant
Republicans all know that Bush is going down - but they really don't care since Bush is a lame duck. The question Republicans really care about is whether he will destroy the Republican Party along with himself. That's why GOP pollster Tony Fabrizio said, "These numbers are scary. We've lost every advantage we've ever had."
Bush's polls are sinking because Iraq is a disaster. No matter how many times Bush declares "victory" (or a "plan for victory"), Americans will wake up the next day to more reports of bombings and murder. Even Ambassador Khalilzad warned Friday that "polarization along sectarian lines" was intensifying and "a sectarian war in Iraq" could draw in neighboring countries, "affecting the entire region."
So what will Karl Rove do to prevent Iraq from destroying the GOP? According to an important new article in the New Yorker by Seymour Hersh, Rove is planning war with Iran.
There is a growing conviction among members of the United States military, and in the international community, that President Bush’s ultimate goal in the nuclear confrontation with Iran is regime change. Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has challenged the reality of the Holocaust and said that Israel must be “wiped off the map.” Bush and others in the White House view him as a potential Adolf Hitler, a former senior intelligence official said. “That’s the name they’re using. They say, ‘Will Iran get a strategic weapon and threaten another world war?’ ”
Obviously bombing Iran is utter insanity. Iran has three times as many people as Iraq, and a much more powerful military since it was not defeated by the US and then kept under sanctions for a decade like Iraq. Iran's democracy sucks (just like ours!), but Iranians do support their government and will fight the U.S. with every weapon they have, both in Iran and around the world.
But the negative consequences of war don't matter to Karl Rove, as long as he gets to control the TV coverage and the narrative. So now we know what it will be: "Bush v. Hitler."
We must stop this insanity. Call your Senators and Representatives and say "Absolutely No War With Iran!"

Official admits Iraq is in state of civil war
A senior official in the Iraqi government has for the first time said Iraq is in a state of civil war. The deputy interior minister, Hussein Ali Kamal, was speaking a day after suicide bombers killed at least 70 people at a Shiite mosque in Baghdad. A further 160 were injured when three suicide bombers struck the Bharatha mosque.
Abdullah Haziz Akim, the leader of Iraq's largest Shiite political grouping told a gathering of his supporters the aim of the attacks was to stop efforts to form a government of national unity. But he said everyone had to work together, including Iraq's Sunnis to try to unify the country. Sunni extremists are being blamed for the attack and there is still real fear some Shiite groups will launch reprisals against the minority Sunni community
And now the build up towards Iran
the washington post is reporting that Bush Administation officals are discussing using Nuclear weapons against Iran. I dont know about you, but I feel sick to my stomach.

Me too. How many thousands more die from this Bush family?
Rabble
excerpted from The T. H. Kelly Handbook, by Tom Kelly"
American Troops are the best in the world. They can do anything so long as three conditions exist:
1. They must be informed of the mission and can be convinced it has value.
2. They believe there is a chance, however slim, of carrying it out.
3. They believe the man they work for is competent, has vertical clout, and is as concerned with their welfare as he is with his own.
All three conditions must exist...
If any of the three is lacking, you do not command--you simply walk at the front of a crowd.
If the third is lacking, you and they, collectively, are not an organization.
You are rabble.
Mourn not the dead that in the cool earth lie, but rather mourn the apathetic throng, the coward, and the meek, who see the world's great anguish and its wrong, and dare not speak.

RE: Bush calling the leader of Iran Hitler
It takes one to know one or does it? How many people has the leader of Iran killed? Tortured? Gassed? His country attacked? I'd say none so he can't be compared to Hitler or Bush. He's not even in their league.
Give them solar and wind power so they don't need nuclear plants or a place to bury the waste. We should have that too.
I say remove the nuclear weapons from Israel. Stop Ashcroft from selling Israeli nuclear weapons to N. Korea. Bush wants to profit off nuclear weapons sales...nuclear war apparently.
Impeach Bush before he attacks another country for profit and power. Our country is less safe everyday he is in power.
