I demand CNN provide wall-to-wall coverage of this breaking political assault scandal at a rally for Ned Lampson, the Democrat running for Tom DeLay's seat. CrooksandLiars has the video of the tall white-haired man in the DeLay t-shirt assaulting the short woman in front of him - Marsha Rovai, age 70.
This is a statement from Marsha Rovai:
"I can't believe my Congressman, Tom DeLay, would organize this type of assault. I was assaulted by two different people. One of the men hit me and another shoved his sign into my face, and then when I pushed his sign away he violently pulled my hat down over my eyes and pushed me. I’m considering filing an assault charge. This is just very upsetting and I’m so disappointed in Tom Delay for organizing this attack."
The violent attack on Lampson's rally was organized by DeLay's campaign manager Chris Homan. Juanita has been blogging all the details. Here's the email he sent yesterday:
We would meet tomorrow morning at 9:45 am on the first floor of the parking garage attached to the Marriott. Please get folks to call our campaign office 281.343.1333 and let us know they can do it – or e-mail Leonard Cash (in the cc field above) so that we can get some head count. Let’s give Lampson a parting shot that wrecks his press conference.
Lest you think DeLay staffers would never organize a riot, remember this photo of the Republican riot that shut down the Miami-Dade recount in 2000, featuring DeLay staffer Tom Pyle in the very front (#1):

Someone really needs to do some photoshop...
work on that 'oh so helpful' photo.
Dress all these DeLay folks in brownshirts with Nazi armbands.
Wonder why none of them ever were charged with this abuse of the voting rights laws?
A mind once expanded can never return to its original dimensions.

Why weren't they arrested
for voting violations? Because the govenor of Florida is Bush's brother. They are above the law no matter what the crime.
Read the Conspirators by Mr. Martin. They are a gang from Nixon's time. They do one Ponzi deal after another.
Where is that law and order Republican Party? Gone along with the two dollar bill and democracy.
money buys "justice"
Republicans don't have to live by laws - money makes all the difference. Have you heard about the rape case at Duke University? It is a damn shame that the police can NOT arrest 3 lacrosse players for rape because the victim is a black stripper. The woman can identify all 3 rapists visually AND by their jersey numbers (that is how they identified themselves at the party). She has injuries consistant with rape and sodomy but everyone is innocent. The police have even announced when the DNA evidence comes back they are not going to announce it - WHAT? Seems like one of the lacrosse players sent a little email about how he was going to have another party with strippers and next time he is going to "kill the F*&%ing B*%#&" when she entered and "skin her" because it is the only way the guy is sexually satisfied. Rich kids with mommy and daddy's money will NOT have to pay for this. I bet it will all end up being the stripper wanted it. Sickening and the city of Durham is about to exploded from racial and elistism. A lot of people are REALLY PISSED about this and rightfully so. I got a bad feeling we are going to see that money buys "justice" for the rich kids. I just can't believe how many people think it is all a set up - that the stripper wanted to be raped to get money from the players rich parents and somebody is just trying to make them look guilty by planting the email. And Republicans call us Conspiracy Theorists!

So glad I don't live THERE anymore.
Nick (not Ned, incidentally) Lampson was my rep until DeLay fixed things. I hope this shows up in the Houston Chronicle tomorrow, as well as the Austin paper.
That makes my blood
That makes my blood boil..........
.............YYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHHHH !!!!!
She Must File A Criminal Complaint
If she doesn't file a criminal complaint it will change nothing, this has to be exposed to the American people. I love this site, but we all know that we are all singing to the choir, please urge her to press charges, do not let this go away.
It is high time that we use every tool available to expose this administration and Congress for who and what they are all about. They are a bunch of thugs. Good ole' Dan Rather was right. When he got caught up in Chicago years ago at the DNC Convention, his words ring clear as he was attacked, "They are a bunch of thugs". I don't know if they called themselves "spiritual thugs" back then, I think that was Karl Rove's idea, he just left out the word thugs.
So the Right Wing media will
So the Right Wing media will report about McKinney's bodyguard telling a reporter that he could haul his ass to jail but not a peep about this story - how hypocritical! Hasn't the public learned to decode the messages yet?

Call Sugar Land Texas
I just got off the phone with the chief of the Sugar Land police Dept. The phone number is 281-275-2500, and I told him that according to our Constitution political rights are to be protected by him. I gave him my name and geographic location. They need to know the nation is watching.
He told me that no one had made a complaint. I asked him if there was a crime called disturbing the peace in his jurisdiction. He said that in Texas they are not breaking the law to do this. I said to him "Why am I not surprised". I urge everyone to call this police department(hundreds of calls) and demand that Democratic rights are protected. I told himn I couldn't get into a Bush rally with a t shirt on. He tried to say that Democrats did the same thing. I am surprised he talked with me so long, but I got the feeling very few people had called. The whole country needs to call. The DNC should be bringing suit for political harassment. How we respond to this demonstrates how we will respond to the election. This is what we can expect and we better be strong enough not to stand for it. Please call Sugar Land Texas and tell these people that we will publicize this everywhere and that America is watching. Also anyone there that was pushed, harassed, whatever needs to bring suit. I am sure there would be pro bono lawyers for this. The Lamston campaign must not stand for this. This is an attack on all our political rights and if we do nothing then we are a waste
