"See in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in -- to kind of catapult the propaganda."

~ George W. Bush; May 24, 2005

When we New York Democrats were forced to endure the spectacle of having a bunch of Republicans slithering around Manhattan for their national convention in 2004, we knew that they came to our city to do three fundamental things: Smear John Kerry beyond recognition, make Americans afraid – very afraid – and, of course, invoke September 11 in every other sentence.

We watched as they did all of those things with diabolical predictability, but I know I’ve never seen it brought into such specific relief as in this video montage from their convention – and a big hat tip to my buddy Steve O at Bring it On for finding this. (If the video box does not appear below, you may not have the appropriate version of Macromedia Flash and you can view the video here.)

Have a look and notice that, almost two years later, their message remains entirely the same.

i wonder what the democrat version would look like.

hopefully there were WAY fewer refernces to 9/11 and "EEEK!", yet i bet there were still a lot since kerry claimed he could protect us from terror, terror and terror.

i voted that he could, and wish more did, but now i'm just curious.
