We Lost,Get Over It
Hello, We don't need to contest the election,we lost and Karl Rove won. Not enough young kids came out. Not enough evangelicals liked Mr. Kerry. Not enough men liked him, either. Duh? He will be fine but now what? Fire Terry McAuliffe at DNC today. Make sure Bob Shrum never advises another Democratic candidate. Open your ears to Howard Dean and Ralph Nader maybe even Robert Schuller of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove. We are still out of touch with middle America. Bruce can sing but that's all. My New Jersey only gave Kerry a five percent victory. So much for progressive politics. I want to hear from you with good ideas and not the same old why Kerry blew it despite the Red Sox cap and Frankenstein personna. I even gave the primary effort $20. Maybe,George Soros will call me in for a chat. But I feel bad for Carole King who lives in Idaho, went from living room neighborhood to meet and greet during Iowa primary etc. and now has to go home to her grandchildren and sing You still have a friend but not in the White House. OUch! Me? I'm either going to be born again so I can be a normal American or shoot a gay wedding couple in Maine or San Francisco.(just kidding). But we are all out of touch and I thought we learned in 1972 and 1992 that if you have the wrong values expressed too often, you lose. About Bill Clinton,he lives in New York,Arkansas went for Bush and even Bubba would have lost this time. Take the day off but no more talk about Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama in 2008. We need a centrist or a depression to change minds in the Middle West and South. John Edwards? Sorry, but he might as well go back to class action litigation as both Carolinas went for the President, again. Oh,and Charlie Rose had Henry Kissinger on Wednesday night. Charlie should be tared and feathered and sent back to North Carolina on his antique round table. He is not fair and balanced and is out of touch as the rest of us. Have a great day, yeah, sure. later, mark isenberg age 50 in neptune,nj(Springsteen shut up and sing country)

We Lost? Not yet we havent!
You are awfully quick to fly the white flag Mark. Ohio is the determining state. Kerry/Edwards are standing on their campaign promise to insure that all the votes are counted. They made the claim and they need to see to it that ALL the votes are counted.
I hate crybabies who say 'it's all over.' Not so. The uncounted provisional ballots in Ohio spell the winner of the presidency...making it absolutely mandatory that those votes be counted.
Not only Ohio, but Florida as well has some problems that need to see the light of day. The ACLU has already filed suit to force Florida to allow the absentee voters(who did not get their ballots in time to vote)to continue to send in countable ballots. There are other glitches which need to be exposed. Rove and company would not quit until the last gasp if the situation was different. Make no apologies and offer no quarter.
Another interesting thought is that the total of the provisional ballot vote count is more than Bush's lead in the state(as of this posting). So lets not shoot ourselves in the foot, but instead make the fight as uncomfortable for the GOP as possible. This is politics American style...no quarter and no prisoners.
Oil prices are already climbing again based on the incomplete returns from the election. How long can it be until the oil producing countries demand the Euro instead of the dollar? How long before the people abroad who own us(T-Bills)dump the loser T-Bills and force us into bankruptcy? Cant be too far off if the dollar crunches. Depression? Just around the corner with the Bush economic policies.
If all else fails, we remain the opposition in this country. We still have responsibilities and obligations to help hold our country together. This is not a time for waving the white flag of simplicity.
Do not surrender
No matter what, we need to do some serious thinking and planning. What Jerry Falwell said is true. They have taken over the Republican party. How do we contend with that? Did Kerry not get through that he said marriage is between a man and a woman. That he was for civil rights for all Americans (backed civil unions). The fact that the right managed to get Gay Marriage on the ballot in so many swing states was important. It energized the right.
My Dem. Congressman Dennis Moore continues to astound. He decisively (10 percentage points) defeated Kris Kobach (an Ashchroft protege). This was his greatest margin ever. His strategy has always been to tread water in Johnson County and get his votes in Wyandotte and Douglas. This time he won Johnson as well. He is votes over 90% for the environment while all other congressmen and our senators vote ZERO, yes ZERO.
If this does not turn out for Kerry, he may have to point to his lack of setting a vision for America where our air is cleaner, our water is more pure, where we are no longer oil gluttons and slaves to Mid-east oil. Our foreign policy history has a black eye due to our failures in the Mid-east linked to oil. Iran and Iraq are prime. Do not forget British Intelligence and the CIA overthrough Gen. Mossadegh
and installed the Shah in the early 1950s triggering the growth of radical Islam. As I have often stated we gave Osama a very large birthday cake by invading Iraq. Not to mention destabilizing the entire area. Now Osama can not only blame Bush but also us. This could trigger even more insurgencies and bombings.
A further note. We must work on the southern states. The poor of the South continue to suffer under this administration. States as Mississippi have lowered the earnings cap for Medicaid. This means fewer people qualify. They are forced to work longer hours for less pay or have no work at all. Go Al Sharpton and Cong. Ford.
I had noticed in some polls t
I had noticed in some polls that at least a plurality or even majorities thought the economy wasn't that good, said the country was on the wrong track, and said the war in Iraq wasn't going well. There are lots of job losses. But what else did those polls say? People did not like Kerry.
We (used loosely because not all of us voted for him) picked a poor, boring, wishy-washy, candidate that had too much trouble relating to the average person. Too many Democrats got blinded by Kerry's military brass, thinking others would do the same. This is the most obvious reason. We should have picked a better, more charismatic candidate.
lost our chance for a GREAT Prez
I'm still sick about it, and still in disbelief. The exit polls showed a Kerry win... how can Florida and Ohio suddenly be so far off? I just don't trust it...

What Now?!
I have just thrown in the towel! What now?! I doesn't seem like there is any way of ever getting through to the Moral Majority. They sure have a different version of God than I do. I am really scared. Please someone tell me why I shouldn't be or that I am over reacting! They seem to think God is on their side no matter what they do and that really scares me! Is all hope lost. Does anyone forsee anything other than the rule of the Moral Majority?!! What Now. I also want to say just sit back and wait, but I am not sure if anything can change the views of these people.
Nananana, nanana, hey hey hey, good bye
My liberal/commie counterparts, the party is over. John Kerry is so out of touch with America, and Bush's big victory proves it.
Perhaps when you nominate a man who actually wants to defend this country, is willing to stand up for some sort of moral cause, and knows the difference between Lambeau field and Lambert field, then you might do better.
Ohh, sweet victory. The liberal/commie establishment lied about Bush, threw the whole kitchen sink at him, and he still kicked your butts. Where's Michael Moore now? What about Soros and his billions? Hahahahahaha!
Your arrogance and condescension is now coming back to haunt you. How does it feel to lose to a "dummy?"
The people of this great nation clearly want a leader who stands for something, believes in low taxes, and defending our interests abroad.
It is a great day for America. Commonsense Americans can now rally around the President. You extreme lefties can now go to your rooms, where you belong.
Gotta run. Kerry's concession speech is in 1 hour. Can't miss that!
We do have to get rid of Terr
We do have to get rid of Terry. How could we convice America to fire bush who is a total failure if we won't fire Terry who now exceeds bush's failures?
This is what now!
Here here!
We lost this election because most of America wants the types of social values they see in Bush, even though he is an idiot and completely screw up our standing in the world. He values life, and loves God. People like that, when Sen. Kerry said when he votes for Legislation, he leaves his faith at the door. That is contrary to most of what America wants. We need new leadership that can recognize this and we need to put up candidates in 06 that have these qualities. If we don't, then why bother, because it will be the same outcome and they will get then more control and push there conservative trickle down crap on us.

Daschle in 2008
Dear DNC Chairman Terry Mc.- Let me be the first to recommend a front running Democratic Presidential Candidate for 2008: Tom Daschle!
He's out of work and available right now to begin campaigning. You can never start too early. I'm confident that he can rally a tremendous broad base of some 150,000 voters in South Dakota. So what if the number only represents one neighborhood in Toledo. It's a start. The longest journey, first step thing. And furthermore, that base is a perfect cross section of America. There are tons of African Americans, Hispanics, Latinos, Asians, Natives, Jews and Buffalos wandering the plains of South Dakota. What an ethnic cross section. That's why he represented Everyone as Senate Minority Leader.
I might also add that his core policital strategy of "laying down on the tracks" was Brilliant. Nothing will move forward on his watch! He has all the tools of a superior Leader. Yo Terry, I've got lots of money to throw at his candiacy. Call me. Tom Delay, Texas
