Why We Lost The Election

The Election was lost because Kerry lied.  He lied to us and he lied to the American people.  He told everyone what he thought they wanted to hear, but because he met with a different group every day, or sometimes hour, he got caught saying opposite statements.

The Democrats are corrupt and jumbled.  They are a mess of special interests groups all wanting to be the most important issue to earn favoitism.  The Republicans come out the good guys here.  We may not want to hear it, but although the conservative's party may not be what we want, they were not so busy being corrupt to select an unsellable candidate in the most important election of our  lifetime.  They would not have lost if they were competent over the last 30 or so years.  The party is crap because they have too many perspectives to talk in complete sentences.

If a person is liberal, they need to say it.  Liberals need to stand tall and proud in this society in order to progress.  Our political leaders have failed us and instead of taking responsibility, they are blaming us with headlines in foreign newspapers saying that American citizens are too stupid to be trusted with an election.  I say the shame is on the Democrats in office, not the masses who elected them to make things right.

All we can do now is remember back to the days of Clinton.  One of the best Presidents of current history.  Or, at least so we believe because nothing happened of note that hurt us.

If we are ever to have what we want, we need to back a new party.  I think more and more that the Conservatives are right in thinking that the Democrats are done with.  It may be a slow death, but at this point I think that Bush could burn the world down and American's still wouldn't vote for a Kerry over him.

Thanks

Someone had to say it. Thanks Lord Gore...or should I say AL? Liberals need to learn not to run from that title, they should wear it with honor or not at all. Do they really think it can be hidden? Fools, all of them. Thanks again AL!

I find it strange that you us

I find it strange that you use the term "us," since you so obviously detest the Democratic party. Corrupt? As opposed to Rove/Dubya, or just your definition of corruption? Special interest goups? Like the NAACP, or the Unions, or any of the groups who try and protect minorities and working class people?

Take your "elite progressive" accusations to the Repug site. They will appreciate you more there. Same for you "spaceman75." You're both trolls, so enjoy bashing Democrats while you can.

Ta, ta....

hmmm

Thought "elite progressive" is a democratic term. Can you explain the difference between liberal and progressive then?

I'm picturing...

I'm picturing... Cranky old man.

Yeah, I like how your protection of minorities goes in Chicago. The CHA homes are a disgrace, now the Democrat-run City is pushing minorities they've raised for generations out into the suburbs to make room for new condo complexes for the wealthier clientele. I don't hear NAACP, the Unions, or the Democrats doing much of anything for minorities, except maybe talk about how a crisis exists because the Republicans are somehow oppressing them in a Democrat-run communitty.

I've had enough experience to know NAACP shakes companies down for cash, the Unions have had a history of hurting and killing people while being an exclusive club that you can only get into if you know someone who knows someone.

I know enough first hand that I find it ridiculous that those examples are even used to try to prove some kind of point.

I agree in part

That Kerry definitely should lost many opportunities to stand up for liberals and our party, and I think that democrats definitely need to demand that our candidates and current congressmen/women stand up for the liberals.

But to say that Kerry was corrupt and say that Bush was a better candidate than Kerry is just absurd. Yes we may have been able to select a stronger candidate in the primaries, I personally think that Clark would have blown him away, but by no means would I ever consider Kerry a worse choice than Bush. I would vote for Arnie before I would Bush.

Outrageous Lies

I wonder if you have fell on your head a couple too many times, your first paragraph accusing Kerry of lying is unfounded, and that democrats are corrupt and jumbled describes the Bush administration perfectly. I do not know what kind of dumfounded agenda you had when you typed your dastardly accusations but they do not even deserve to be taken seriously. King George is the one that went around this country and changed his message, he was a “war president,” and then he was the “peace president,” because people war against the war. This man has spent the last 45 months in office doing nothing but lying to the country. Noam Chomsky is correct in saying he deserves to be charged with war crime to the same standards of the Nuremburg trials. If you want to talk about special interests, the repugs own them, Halliburton, Enron, and Pharmaceutical, HMO’s and the list goes on and on. Your accusations accusing Kerry describe George W. Bush president nutcase so well, that taken you seriously would be like taking Tony Soprano seriously being lectured on law and order. I hope you think next time before you lie.
