Senator Clinton, you need some new advisors.

From The New York Times, 1/22/06—a Clinton advisor says that “pockets” on the left are against the war in Iraq, and that makes them “enemies” of Senator Clinton:

The [White House] attacks [on Senator Clinton] may help energize her network of financial supporters at a time when she faces no serious opposition in her re-election bid this year in New York. But perhaps more important, the Republican attacks are already leading Democrats to rally around her, at a time when the senator is facing criticism from pockets on the left on several issues, chiefly her support for the war in Iraq. "If a person is defined by their friends and their enemies, she has all the right enemies," said one Democrat who is close to Mrs. Clinton.

From Zogby International, 1/15/06—Zogby shows that the “pockets” consist of almost the entire Democratic Party, and a great majority of independents:

While 61% of Republicans said he was doing a good job managing the war (down from 70% in October), just 11% of Democrats and 28% of independents gave him good marks in that area. Among Democrats, 71% said Bush was doing a “poor” job with the war, while 17% said he was doing only a “fair” job.

Why listen to an “advisor” who doesn’t even know what the vast majority of Democrats believe and want?

She was a Republican (and still is)

She was a Republican when she met Bill Clinton. That is a severe character flaw. I don't believe she ever truly became a true Democrat exhibited by her comments and behavior over bush and the illegal and brutal attack of a defenseless nation.

When she says she's a Democrat, she's just at a costume party.

Whoa, wait!

Like Hillary, the first time I was eligible to vote for president, I voted for Barry Goldwater. But I don't think you'd say that I'm not a bona fide, certified, chicken fried progressive now.

Young Republicans club

Did you chair the local chapter of Young Republicans?

A student leader in public schools, she was active in youth programs at the First United Methodist Church. Although she later became associated with liberal causes, during this time she adhered to the Republican Party of her parents. She campaigned for Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater in 1964 and chaired the local chapter of the Young Republicans. A year later, after she enrolled at Wellesley College, her political views began to change. Influenced by the assassinations of Malcolm X, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, Jr., she joined the Democratic Party and volunteered in the presidential campaign of antiwar candidate Eugene McCarthy.

OK, maybe I am just being a wee bit optimistic but does anyone else think Hillary could be representing the middle until she gets the White House? I mean look at what Bush did, he said he was going to govern from the middle. Bush gave contradictory information just to win support. Since most Americans want to rule from the middle, maybe, just maybe, Hillary wants to appear to be in the middle. Don't get me wrong, Hillary needs to represent the REAL Democratic party and call it like it really is but maybe she looks Republican-lite because Bush has moved "the middle" so far Right.

And who was it that said the Republicans are "Right"? I wonder how many brain dead Americans hear that Republicans represent the Right and gauge by no other factors.

"They want the federal government controlling Social Security

like it's some kind of federal program."

Everyone watches everyone in politics. The game is to act before being put in a spot to react, in some cases. If Hillary was going to run.. well forget my opinion.. but what's been started already and all the new things that come up she should be paying attention to such as: http://www.acumembers.com/barrettreport.html and that doesn't go just for her.
