I think it's time for all supporters of George W. Bush to step up to the plate and announce their unconditional and absolute support for Bush openly and honestly. I'm tired of hearing them hide behind terms like "freedom", "democracy", "rule of law", and euphemisms like "unitary executive." They should at least be upfront about what they want, and take ownership of their true position, for all Americans to understand. It's high time that they cut the crap. The real debate in this country needs to be clearly defined. So I challenge all Bush supporters to take this pledge.
"I Agree With George W. Bush -- Dictatorship Would Be Easier, And He Should Be The Dictator!"
The time has come for all of us true Americans to fully acknowledge what George W. Bush means when he tells us, "Sept. 11 changed everything." While we have prevailed through a Civil War, the Great Depression, two World Wars and the Cold War -- we now face a new threat. And this threat requires that George W. Bush be the Supreme Ruler of the land. In fact, I think that he should announce himself as much more than a "unitary executive" -- I think he should declare that he is the Dictator of America. After all, he has publicly said:
"If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."
I also agree with his statement, given the state of the World we now live in, that, "There ought to be limits to freedom."
I couldn't agree more. For example, I think that George W. Bush has the right to wiretap anyone. I also agree with George W. Bush that "you are either with us or you are with the terrorists." This means that if you are not in full support of George W. Bush and his policies, that you are in league with the terrorists. In this case especially, George W. Bush is perfectly justified in wiretapping you. He should also have the power to strip you of your US citizenship, hold you prisoner indefinitely at Guantanamo Bay, even without charges -- or, if he decides, send you via CIA rendition to a foreign prison, to be tortured, if necessary.
He should also have the power to subject you to a military tribunal. And if the tribunal finds that you are guilty, then you can be executed. I also believe that George W. Bush has the right to declare war on any country he believes is a threat -- without the assent of Congress, or the cooperation of the United Nations.
I also never want to see a Democrat, or anyone other than a Republican -- occupy the White House. In today's world, the democratic process in America is obsolete, and only allows for dangerous elements, such as Democrats, to enter our Government. George W. Bush knows how to lead this country, since he better than anyone understands what is in our best interests. Therefore, I support that George W. Bush declare himself Dictator of America, and that he cancel the presidential election process.
Signed,
[Your Name]
*Actually Bush has publicly stated at least three times that a Dictatorship would be easier.

That's exactly what bush supporters want
I agree --- They should stop with the double-speak, and say what they REALLY support --- a dictatorship and fascism.
I want to call EVERY bush supporter what he/she is -- A FASCIST! And nothing less! Let's stop these cowering idiots from pretending they're anything less. They should stand up on a podium and say, "I support george w bush and I am a Fascist". They should tell the truth for a change.
Yep...and let's name names of those who want a dictatorship
to run their "new world order": Karl (SS) Rove, William Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, Alberto (hatchetman) Gonzalez, Scooter Libby, Condoleeza Rice, John Ashcroft, Andrew Card, the heads of the oil companies, Schultz, Richard Pearl, Jeb Bush (all the founders of PNAC), Katherine Harris, Blackwell (Ohio), The War Profiteers (GE, Lockheed Martin, United Defense, Halliburton, Bechtel, the Carlyle Group (pappa Bush), the Mercenaries (hired killers now called "contractors") ... this list is very, very long, but you get the drift. And don't forget the likes of Pat Robertson and Hagee...all those who would murder in the name of the world's most famous peacenik, Jesus Christ. (talk about folks who are gonna burn in hell!)
I think that Ann Coulter and
I think that Ann Coulter and like-minded people would agree with what I wrote as their pledge, although I don't think most of them would acknowledge it publicly (well Ann probably would).
I was being somewhat sarcastic, but I was also trying to honestly present the rancor, the sheer hate that I read in the email we receive at Democrats.com.
There are also those who blindly support Bush -- is there any way to make them understand what they are backing? Do they even know about his "Dictatorship" quote? Why the hell isn't that being brought up again and again? It's even a soundbite --- I've heard it.
We just got an email from someone who wrote, "I truly believe that almost all of you democrats are working for terrorist[s]."
Among other things, this is totally illogical. The last thing any American who is anti-Bush wants is another attack on this country, not only because it would be horrific and violent, but also because it would play right into Bush's hands to grab more power, and to really clampdown on civil liberties. None of us want that!
Hey Ted...why not publish a thread with some of the ...
'love letters' you get from the Pugs? Should make for interesting reading for all of us.
Then we'll know better how to treat the Pugs amongst us. LOL!
If you get any hate mail from Kalamity Flats(K-Falls)let me know. Maybe I can get the Klamath Basin Peace group to picket their houses.
