DEAD U.S. SOLDIERS RETURNED TO OUR SOIL AS COMMERCIAL "FREIGHT"!

Found this on Bushflash.dot

Yep- it's as simple as that. Apparently, the powers that be decided that it was either too embarassing, or expensive, to shuttle the fallen troops through Dover AFB, and determined that it was more in line with "compassionate conservatism" to bundle the corpses up in cardboard and plastic wrap, before shoving them into the cargo holds of commercial airliners, along with passenger luggage and excess food stores.

Strange- this past week, we on the antiwar side have been yet again come under fire as "disparaging the war effort, and destroying the morale of our troops in Iraq", simply for stating our views. I have to wonder- what's more demoralizing to the troops on the ground:

1: The majority of americans who now oppose this war speaking their minds...

or:

2: Knowing that, if they should fall, the government that sent them off to this war will render unto their mortal remains the same care and respect one would show to a pallet of dog food.

Have I mentioned, recently, how much I HATE Bush, and his cadre of callous murderers? What's next? Shoving these poor souls into mass graves outside of Weehawken, with a few shovelfuls of lime to keep them company?

Or better yet- I guess the Bush crime family will decide, eventually, to show their affinity for the Iraqi people, and let the fallen bodies of our soldiers lie in the streets of Iraq, until they're devoured by dogs, just as the dead of Fallujah were.

These republican chickenhawks, and their bleating media lambs, along with their useful idiots over at Free Republic DO NOT support our troops. They don't give one, tiny, tinker's damn about them. Everytime a soldier dies, they break wind, and laugh.

I DO support our troops- I want them home, yesterday. I want them home with their families, enjoying the full benefits that were promised to them, when they enlisted. The republicans want them home, wrapped in plastic, alongside a case of Playstations.

Read and watch the full article and attached video and then ask a repug to explain this vile treatment of our dead soldiers and tell you that as a democrat you don't support the troops. I dare them to spin this one!

Quite the opposite. Not only do the repugs not support our soldiers, they don't respect them as human beings, but consider them mere cargo void of any dignity or value for human life!

We want out troops home and away from this senseless death and subsequent abuse of a corpse!

IMPEACH AND REMOVE BUSH NOW!

Time Magazine has picked one

Time Magazine has picked one of these pictures as Pictures of the Year (#18). The worst thing is the soldiers are NOT brought home with the flag covering their caskets because the military is worried about the flags getting damaged and dirty on the flights home. No need to worry folks, Bush has wiped his ass with the stars and stripes too much to start worrying about what the airliner might do to it.

Flags getting damaged...

Flags getting dirty and damaged is the most ludicrous excuse I could image for not draping a soldier’s casket with it. Its OK for a 19 year old to die for a war totally founded on lies and be blown to pieces by a road side bomb, but we don’t want to get the flag dirty? Where the hell are our priorities? Where is our sense of dignity and respect for human life?

If Francis Scott Key can write a poem about how our flag was bombarded and shredded, but was still there after the smoke cleared, during the war of 1812, which later became our National Anthem, then for God’s sake we can risk a little dirt on the flag of a fallen soldier’s casket to honor them, especial since this person lost their life for a war of aggression and greed and not in defense of our nation!

Once and for all there is no war on terror! Terror is a state of mind, not a sovereign nation rich with oil! The only terror we are experiencing is the desecration and systematic destruction of our Constitution by the BA! Losing your Bill of Rights to a rogue despot, hell bent on world domination…now that’s terrifying!

Flag of Honor or at least a flag sticker on the nice clean box

The last insult to our children, the nations hope, our service men and women, would be for Dub'ya to show at their funeral. Just short of that, the ultimate insult is in not covering them with THE FLAG THEY FOUGHT FOR! This is all that we have left of these brave people, an unmarked box? What next Dub'ya, COD? Surprise, it's not from the North Pole. How about FedEx or UPS, maybe bolster up the USPS next time, and send them next day air, residential delivery of course. Think of the gas we could save not having to go to the airport, no never mind I forgot we want to use gas to keep big oil happy and JUSTIFY THE WAR
That sorry excuse for a human being some call President (may he rot in hell) is to wraped up in his own Dub'ya flag to give a tinkers damn about those kids that HE is responcible for.
Every time Dub'ya speaks I shake my head and say to myself he can't get any lower than he has just sunk to, he proves me wrong, and takes another long stride into the depths of that "criminal of the century" catagory. That mass murdering maggot dares hide behind the same flag these people fought beside and took comfort in. Leader my ass... he makes me want to puke in his pocket. Dub'ya is as low and "sorry as a sack of siberian snake shit" and may history record him, smelling as bad as a "putrid pint of pelican piss".

Upon return of the remains to the port of entry mortuary, the family working with the service of the deceased, will make decisions about the final burial arrangements, including who will assume responsibility for preparations of remains and associated costs. The Person Authorized to Direct Disposition of remains (PADD) is counseled about government burial benefit entitlements, including options for burial in a national cemetery with DOD-furnished casket and headstone. If there are no next of kin (NOK), the service secretary will pay for and take care of arrangements.

The Defense Department also pays up to $1,750 for remains preparation and a casket; up to $3,100 for interment in a private cemetery after the remains have been consigned to a funeral home; up to $2,000 for burial in a government cemetery after the remains have been sent to a funeral home; and up to $110 when the remains are directly sent to a government cemetery.

The Pentagon also reimburses families for the money they spend to transport remains to the final destination.
