Is Bush guilty of Obstruction of Justice?
Novak says that Bush probably knows the name of the leaker. The problem is, that not one soul in Washington is brave enough to call Bush - under oath - to testify about the name of the leaker, so Bush doesn't get charged with Obstruction of Justice.
Isn't it about time the republicans grow a little principle somewhere?
W.House takes issue with Novak on CIA leak claim
Dec 15, 2005 — WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House took issue on Thursday with a claim by syndicated columnist Robert Novak that President George W. Bush knows who the source is who leaked the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame.
"I don't know what he's basing it on," said White House spokesman Scott McClellan, declining to comment further.
Novak said Tuesday the public and the news media should be asking Bush about the source rather than reporters who received the information.
"I'm confident the president knows who the source is," Novak told a luncheon in Raleigh, North Carolina, according to the Raleigh News & Observer. "I'd be amazed if he doesn't."
He added: "So I say, don't bug me. Don't bug (Washington Post reporter) Bob Woodward. Bug the president as to whether he should reveal who the source is."
Novak has repeatedly declined to discuss his role in disclosing Plame's identity. It was his column on July 14, 2003, that outed Plame and triggered an ongoing investigation into the leak.
Isn't it Obstruction of Justice if Bush knows but doesn't offer the information?

Obstruction
Submarine USS Wahoo ss238
My Dear Necco,
So how do we prove that he does actually know this,
you know that Count Novakula is a slime ball, he
would lie to his own grandmother if he could get away with it.
Do we know if Fitzgerald has been investigating GW?
Republicans are without honor
that's why we don't know. They have put party over national security and they should all be hearing about it.
They're not hearing about it because the girly democrats don't want their dresses ruffled, should the amoral republicans retaliate.
In this post 9/11 Era, the last thing we need is a Congress full of 'yes' men/women who do nothing but spend our money on war and spit in the face of accountability.
The fact that the press is
The fact that the press is playing this game of innocent until proven guilty is unforgivable. That is the threshold for issuing punishment, not investigative journalism, or for that matter, police work in general.
Does anyone actually believe this was not a deliberate, dangerous, and illegal outing? Does anyone actually believe Bush did not lie during the run up to Iraq? That the outing was anything but, part of the “anything goes” mentality of the Republican leadership on Iraq?
What is going on? Why aren’t Republican grass roots calling their leadership on blaming our Defense Institutions? In particular, this drone about how bad America’s Intelligence Agencies are! HOW DANGEROUS IS THAT!
It is dangerous
and it's embarrassing that the democrats don't point that out. What kind of message does it send to terrorists, when the POTUS tells the world that our intelligence is useless?
Fact is, Bush didn't use our intelligence. He had his own little propaganda office set up that he listened to. If he'd been a real man, he'd have said that his mistake was in dismissing CIA intelligence to listen to Feith, et al. He has no honor and republicans put us at risk because they put party over country.
Nobody wants to lose so we ALL lose!
Earth to Dems who are not speaking up: WE LOST. There is nothing to lose. Speak up for our Nation. We do not need the favor of others voting for Democrats. We need the votes of ANYONE who speaks up.
