staring from across the pond

I am sitting here in my British cubicle and I am staring at the screen, trying to find out what the hell is going on with the US elections. Why?
Well, because , although I do not live in the mighty 'states, the results of their elections affects me as well. It also affects the state of teh world, and one must be pretty darn thick to not realize that whatever it is that might happen in the USA elections affects every being on this planet.
The question that raises many brows in my part of the world is not about who will win the US elections, legally speaking. From the multitude of 'net sources, it seems pretty clear that most of the Americans with a brain are not particularly fond of the character doubled as Dumbya by some.
Now, that sounds a bit absolute, right? Well, let us think about it. the guy supposedly won the elections in 200 at a difference of some 500 votes. His actions definitely appear to have costed him his popularity, and aside from his rich friends, what was there is Bush' record to win him supporters?
So, there is no doubt in my mind that kerry should win the elections , legally speaking. However, the question that springs to my mind and has made me wonder is the following
"Will Kerry be allowed to win the elections??"
Will Bush and his masters willingly give up on what they have laboured so hard to achieve, and stopped at nothing to get?
I can see the words "conspiracy theory" forming on some people's lips already while reading this. Also, the same people would also think that, me being a Brit and all, I should keep my mouth shut because this is an American matter...
We shall see, soon enough
