Maybe that explains
Maybe that explains why Republican Senators want a plan to get out of Iraq in 2006. They don't want those young voters voting against the party to insure what happened to their elders never happens to THEM (referring to the open-ended "enlistments" for reservists who THOUGHT they were "serving the nation" in the same way Bush did). Maybe reality is finally hitting home. But the article DOES show that the main REASON young voters could rack up a big increase is that they were the WORST age group for voting before. Apathy is not for the elderly, they are the most active voting group and therefore it is hard for them to get much better.
