ELECTRONIC VOTING 'PROTOCOL BREACH' KEEPS SCHWARZENEGGER FROM VOTING!This Just in from BradBlog.com: LA County Registrar, Diebold Supporter Admits 'Protocol Breached in Advance of Election' Due to a problem with Electronic Voting Machines in Los Angeles County, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger himself was told he had already voted when he showed up at the polls today in Sacramento to cast his ballot in the Special Election that he himself declared for California today! He was told he'd have to use a provisional ballot, but unlike most American voters, he was eventually allowed to use a regular ballot anyway. Los Angeles County Registrar, Connie McCormack (a huge fan of Diebold machines, and a very good friend of their sales rep here in Southern California) is trying to mitigate the damage...big time...Though she admits that someone "breached protocol in advance of the election" It should be further noted, that the Governator was attempting to vote in Sacramento! Not in Los Angeles County! So the "breach" which would have kept a normal citizen from voting in one county, occurred in a completely different county! Great machines
It's our own version of War of the World. Isn't democracy in action wonderful? We have either created technology beyond us or we are the victims of the technology neocon mob. To Ahnuld,"sorry for the inconvenience." I know that it must have put a wrinkle in your day since it might have made you late to work or missed your children's pickup at daycare. No, all of the money that we paid to watch those terminator movies have elevated you above the worries of the average voter. Maybe, next time, you will have to stand in the pouring rain for eleven hours and see the door shut in front of you before you vote. Give us our democracy back! NOW! Our families have died to make America great. Your wife's family made America great. What have you done for America,Ahnuld?
So, did Ahnuld vote against
So, did Ahnuld vote against it before he voted for it?
Here is what happened to a
Her is what happened to a friend of mine who was voting on the new machines here in Ohio. She gave a yes vote to issues 2,3,4, & 5 (the choice on the screen was yes or no). Upon reviewing her choices prior to hitting the submit vote, she became aware that her "yes" vote for issues 2,3,4,& 5 were shown in the summation as "against". In the summation the yes/no is recorded as for/against. She notified a poll worker of the problem, and was able to go back and change the vote.
Now, this is what she told me was her experience.
I also used those machines today and I did not have to go back to make any changes, my choices went through correctly.
But her story certainly raises concerns......
