The latest CBS poll has Bush's approval at a dismal 35%/57% (-22%.)
Compared to other 2nd term presidents, Bush barely beats Nixon at 27%/63% (-36%). How soon will Bush beat Nixon in the race for the most hated President in history? I'll spot him a month.
The poll has other fascinating nuggets: 86% say the CIA leak scandal has great/some importance, while only 12% say it has little/none, for a net importance of +74%. That makes it the worst scandal since WWII:
- Iran-Contra: 81%/19% (+62%)
- Watergate was 78%/22% (+56%)
- Monicagate was 62%/37% (+25%)
- Whitewater was 49%/45% (+4%)
Of course, the poll didn't ask about the bigger scandal surrounding Plamegate - invading Iraq on the basis of bald-faced lies.
Nor did the poll ask about the scandal of Bush strumming while New Orleans drowned.
Nor did the poll ask if 9/11 could have been prevented if Bush had immediately cancelled his vacation after reading the memo stating "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S."
Nor did the cowards at CBS ask if Bush should be impeached.

Nixon vs. Bush
This is not surprising, since he is the worst president since Nixon. I didn’t think it was possible to out-Nixon Nixon. George “Frat-rat” Bush did it.
Nixon trained the "leaders"
in this Bush administration. Remember, all of these guys came through the system of Nixon/Reagan/Bush41. Not only was it possible to out-Nixon Nixon (frankly, his crime was petty compared to the treason going on now), it has probably their mission all along to accomplish just that.
Think about it! Nixon taught Petty Crime 101, Reagan taught Felony 201, and GHW Bush taught advanced Criminality on the Graduate level.
And when Wolfowitz started the PNAC, they started teaching Advanced Fascism, (take a 2 week course in journalism at the American Enterprise Institute and you too can command an audience with a collective IQ of 75 like Krauthammer does). I think the cost of a graduate degree is $250,000 and membership in Bush's "Texas Rangers" pedophile club.

People laughed at me when I predicted the end of the Republican Party, but I still say it's a NON-viable party and will not survive the next century. Each Republican president is worse the one before him. They can't even legitimately win a presidential election anymore -- A democrat won in 92, 96, 2000, and 2004 (if not for the high election crimes, no Republican would even be in the White House right now). They have to steal elections to get the presidency. That shows they are a dying party. The people don't want them anymore. They get more and more corrupt until the whole party will explode in a million pieces. And I'll dance at the funeral.

Anyone still a repugnican today after everything that has come out is, in my humble opinion, an enemy of the Constitution of the United States. Yes I know evangelicals personally who are starting to wake up.
Being as you are a Republican who continues to suck away my money and live off the welfare of my work and those of Military personal without contributing anything to society in return, I do have one word of thanks: The pussification of Americans via Republicanism has sure gone a long way towards allowing me the opportunity to hire for a pittance. Of course morality rears its ugly head and I am only tempted.
The thing that really kills me though is the extent to which your party craps all over the military, refusing to pay them market wages. I hope the troops return the favor when they get back.

I understand this explains why your Party refuses to do anything to defend this Nation from foreign enemies –conventional and of the terrorist sort – but you guys are sitting here as well. Old Mr. Republican here seems to believe that ALL evangelical Christians are Republicans. I guess he would be shocked to learn that around 50%, or more, of them are Democrats.
The military is politically spread almost as evenly as the rest of the country (including "every-day Americans") -- 50% Republicans, 50% Democrats. Dubya and his political machine have never, ever, had a clear "mandate" from the American people, and have alienated those who believed their lies.
What these Dubya Kool-Aid drinkers also seem to forget, is that their own Party has been hijacked by the PNAC-influenced extreme right-wing. Just because they're being led by a bunch of neocons, does not mean that ALL Republicans are neocons. Only the Free Republic brand of rabid Dubya-addicts can't see the reality of the damage being done to this country.
And to be totally honest, we Democrats have our own internal problems with groups like the DLC Republican-Lite contingent. Unlike the Republicans however, we are doing something about it.
The real bottom line here is: the American People want their country back, and right now the only voices advocating the movement back to a sane, rational, Constitutional form of government, are the grass-roots supporters of the Democratic Party. Like most Americans, we stand for fiscal conservatism, and social Liberalism.

Nixon deceived the nation about campaign practices. George W Bush[ our terrorism protector] deceived the nation into war, is personally responsible for the deaths of over 2000 Americans ] and exposed the country to the potential danger of WMD's and the people who traffick in them by exposing someone who was responsible for ferreting them out. By exposing her, they exposed the entire covert operation, and jeopardized all the people and companies involved in helping her, and acting as her "cover" companies. Hmmmmmmm, just now occurred to me what connects evangelical religion, rightwing politics, and corporate business. A lot of people on their knees, praying, sucking, brown-nosing, and confessing either to government agents or the priest. Yep, it all does tie together. There is a unified field after all!
