Does anyone here watch the cable program, 'What Not to Wear?'

The hosts, Clinton and Stacy, go through their volumes of mail to find what they consider to be the fashion disaster of the week and they show up to surprise them with a debit card worth $5,000 to purchase a new wardrobe. All the clients have to do to get all that fashion geet, is to agree to take Clinton and Stacy's fashion tips under advisement and allow C&S to trash their entire existing wardrobes.

I'm beginning to think that Bush policy is set by the 'reality' programs Bush, his family, and his administration watch on television, and I think he listens to his mama a whole lot.

In referencing some of the evacuees, Babs Bush said, "And so many of the people in the arena here were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them."

Ordinarily, this wouldn't even lift an eyebrow because I'm used to that blundering old woman saying some pretty off-the-wall stuff. That was until I found out that the evacuees are going to get debit cards worth $2K. I guess this is the Bush administration's version of 'Where Not to Live.'

What cheapskates! Even Clinton and Stacy give $5K, and those fashion blunders still have roofs over their heads and jobs to go back to. I don't think any of them ended up having to bury loved ones after the 'show' was over, either.

I wonder if Rice got some advice from Clinton and Stacy before she took off on Fifth Avenue.

How does that go...'The world is a stage...' Or something like that. It's a shame no one there has an obsession with a reality show like Super Nanny. Perhaps then, someone could clue Homeland Security in on what it means to keep something/someone safe from harm. I suppose just showing up on the job would be nice.

Do you think Bush will call his media lap dogs together and follow a few of the clients around to see how they spend their money? It could make a good show, I guess. It wouldn't be as good as the 'Mission Accomplished' episode, but it could pass.
